Fraudulent Practice
I signed up for this club in 5/09. STUPID MISTAKE!! I received my first Welcome package, and the product to test was a cheap plastic covered knife. They sent me the first book, and I went ahead and paid for it since it was only $10. The next month they send me ANOTHER book (same style, etc.) and was saying it would be $24.99 if I didn't send it back. Cost me $3 to mail it back. Now they are asking for almost $28 for an installment because I am a Life Member. They give a website address that has NOTHING on it except to sign up for a "30 day trial membership".
I was trying to find out the TOTAL cost for lifetime membership, since I was being billed for $28 for just an installment. I can see how they can wrack people, since you can't seem to get a final total from the co.

life member
I have been a life member for a while now.All that i recieved now is the magazine.I get no offers to test anything. They stated that all life members would be entered into all contest automaticaly by the company. That we would be first for testing products. But life members are foregotten. The cooking club should be seperate from all the other clubs.I thought this was all about cooking. Not everything else.So they falsley advertised there club.

Major scam
Keep getting bills for my "Lifetime membership" and I don't even remember applying for any membership. I just wanted to pay the 12 dollars a month and get a few free products. But the minute I said that I started getting unwanted cookbooks that I had to pay for and bills for my lifetime membership. Now I get delinquit notices. If this were a ligitimate bussiness they would simply stop sending me all the junk they pedal and cancel any membership. This is a major scam.

How to get your complaint satisfied
There have been a lot of complaints concerning this company. When checking them out through the BBB I found information that may be able to help you. Here is the web link that shows their address, phone number and other information. The company is National Membership however if you scroll down they have many DBA names. One of which is Cooking club of America. BBB has helped many people with billing and membership issues from this company. Perhaps they can help you too.

Billing me for a membership I NEVER signed up for
This company sent me a bill a couple of months ago...at the same time thanking me for my membership...on the bill they have my name incorrect, but close enough to make it look as if I may have signed up. The mailing address is incorret, but close enough to make it come to my address(amazing). Now they have sent the magazine, of course with the membership number they evidently want assigned to me. Of course I also received the membership dues invoice. If I visit the sight to tell them I never signed up or even visited the sight before, they will manage to get the correct name and address from the email I send them. What the heck am I supposed to do?????? Oh yes, by the way there is of course no phone number for me to contact them on the invoice or any other paper they managed to put into the envelope. Vera(the part of my name they got correct)

How did they get my Info
I opened my maid today and found this letter from the Cooking Club Of America telling me that I was nominated for a free membership to their scam. I got online and did some research, Thanks to all the people that have made complaints against them I have decided not to become a member. But I do have a question, How did they get my name and address?
