Unauthorized billing
last month ccoa sent a nasty letter about my so called monthly bill. That bill did have a #, so I called it and thought the problem was corrected. I used 2 addresses to make sure I received the products. When I spoke to them, the billing error should have been corrected. It was not. Now their sending me a bill for products they say they sent. I did not receive any cookbooks, magazines, or gadgets ever from them. Used several E-mail addresses that were posted from their site, only to find out they could not be used the server said it was an invalid E-mail address. I want out of this membership, no future contact from them in any way shape or form. I did not get any thing from them so i will not pay for something I didn't receive. I am seriously considering getting the BBB involved in this. Linda H, E mail This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it any suggestions?

Life Member Benefits
I have been a lifetime member of this club for several years. Since I joined as a lifetime member I am extremely disappointed, I enjoy the magazine but have not been included in any of the benefits (tester, etc.) Is there some rules I am not aware of? I have been trying to enter the contests on their website for 2 days and the site is not responding. Are they having problems or is this normal?
Thank you for your time in this matter.

Do not accept cancellations
do NOT even think about joining them anymore. It's a total scam. I signed up for the "trial" membership and decided that it wasn't all that it was advertised to be... so when I received the invoice, I didn't pay it. The invoice says on it that if you do not send payment, it will be assumed that you do not want to join. So I didn't send it. They kept sending invoices, the 4th of which threatened to submit to a collection agengy if I didn't tell them that I didn't want to join. So I wrote back that I didn't want to join - cancel the membership... after all, it WAS a "trial", right? That was about a month ago... and yesterday I opened a bill from a collection agency saying that I owe $301 -- not even the $12 that it cost to join.
You can not speak to a customer representative at the collection agency and you can not get contact information for the cooking club unless you're a member - So now I'm left w/ a collection agency to deal with.

shady agreements
Some years ago being an avid hunter I became involved with the hunting club of america . And got sucked into becoming a life member. Which you are promised free trials on merchandise. What a joke, they also have the handymans club and the cooking club. I am a pro. Chef and like a fool joined the cooking club. Just as the hunting club as soon as you become a member they try to refund your membership fee and put it towards a life membership. Again you are promised the world and recieve nothing. It took mutible e-mails to get the so called joining gifts that they promised. Then you are to recieve $100 in grocery coupons. You have to spend $4 in postage to send a self addressed legal size envelope. And you recieve a survey to fill out and 10 $10 stamps to send in 10 times to recieve your coupons. With no say of what you are to recieve. This Company is a joke and in my eyes a fraud. Please don't be decieved by this Co.The 3 that I have knowledge of are The Hunting club of America, The Handymans Club of America and The Cooking Club of America

Scam and cheating
I decided to join Cooking Club of America because I'm always looking for new recipes and ideas. I was also intrigued by testing products. The products were substandard and the recipes were nothing special. Then I received an item from them in the mail. It was a stupid porcelain basket that I certainly did not want, so I returned it several months ago. I have been receiving invoices from them ever since stating that I needed to either return the item or pay the invoice.
I tried writing them a letter stating that I had sent the box back to them several months ago, and that I am not going to pay for an item I do not have in my procession. They still continue to send me invoices claiming I need to pay the invoice or return the item.

Turned over to collections for supposed failure to pay
I never signed up for any "membership" with the cooking club of america, yet they kept sending the magazines and billing me for said membership. I have had problems before with another Sandra Thomas doing thins with my name, never this bad before what can i do about the collections letter, as the cooking club has turned me over to them for failure to pay, short of just paying that darn money, which i don't think i should.

Charged for returned book!
I was a member of this company and then a lifetime member. I canceled my membership because I wasn't happy with the products and the recipes, etc. I was sent a book and returned it according to their policy and am still being charged for this book. I am receiving letters from a collection agency telling me I have to pay for a book that I don't have. I hate this company. They have bad business policies and I feel they should be shut down. All they are doing is taking advantage of people!!!

Worried
I recently signed up with the Cooking Club of America, like two days ago, and decided to check out their website, instead I was directed here, after reading everything, I have decided that it was probably not the best idea and now I'm not sure what to do, if you have any ideas, please let me know.
