I have never joined the Cooking Club of America and I don't know how they got my name but they keep sending bills. I owe them nothing. I never have joined!

Fraud
I have just received an invoice from the Cooking Club of America, PO Box 3496, Minnetonka,
MN55343-3496 for $12.00. I have not signed up for this. Please advise how I deal with these people. Obviously it is a complete scam. Please advise who I complain to.

Poor marketing practices
Bait and switch -- They sell you a subscription for a year or two for $24.oo. Promise you will get products to test.You do not get any test products. Or perhaps they send a few out. I sure do not know anyone who got anything. Then they try to get you to buy a life membership for almost $300.00. Send you a cheap magnet and sponge and when you do not fall for the life membership, ask for the junk back. ( Its in the trash). There is also a garden magazine out there operation on the same kind of selling technique. Where are the principals that we usually see in the publishing industry. These guys are sure lacking.

All they want is your money and to screw up your credit!
I, first of all would like to say that I am appalled at how this so called business is ran. I am an extremely unhappy customer. I no longer want to be affiliated with anything involving the COOKING CLUB OF AMERICA. I have wrote several times trying to cancel my membership with the COOKING CLUB OF AMERICA.
I've wrote letters, I've attempted to get the phone number and I've also attempted to communicate with the COOKING CLUB OF AMERICA via e-mail, but yet no response in fact this company continues to send me bills, unwanted cookbooks and magazines. I know that me writing my complaint to the world will not resolve my problem, however if i can save someone else's credit or waisted time even attempting to deal with this company this complaint has served some purpose. God is my witness I wish I never knew of a COOKING CLUB OF AMERICA. ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY AND TO SCREW UP YOUR CREDIT. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED AMERICA.

False membership and bullying
I have repeatedly told this company that I AM NOT interested in membership, yet I continue to receive phone calls, and billings for a membership that I DID NOT authorize! Then, they have the audacity to send bill collectors after me!!! How do I make this stop? My daughter is helping me with this as I do not have e-mail. Thank you.

Cooking club of America is a scam!
We had tried the 30-day trial membership for Cooking Club of America and canceled it more than a year ago. Now we received a notice from a collection agency. We tried calling the agency but got a voice mail to pay and no operator ever came to the phone. Then we tried to look for the Cooking Club of America number on the website to no avail. We got their number from the national 1800 directory listing. Someone called Jason picked up the phone and rudely informed us that the membership was canceled. When we asked why we were getting collection notices, we were told that it was a way to get us to subscribe as Life members. He said that we were not going to be submitted to the collection agency and abruptly hung up!!!!
ITS A SCAM ....

This club is a big sham
We signed up to get the magazines and we received a single magazine along with a bill of $298.00 for the membership fee which we did not agree to, we mailed back the bill to them and said we did not agree to this and to cancel everything. About a month later we get a notice from a collection agency for this amount. I contacted the district office of the club, told them the situation and was told they would take care of it. The next month we received another notice from the collection department still asking for this money. I think this club is a big sham and people should steer clear.
