I filled out a survey on women in business, at the end of the survey they asked if I'd like a free packet, that I would just have to pay postage on. I paid the postage. Later I get a $39.95 charge on my credit card bill that came 30 days or more later. When I called to have them remove the charge, they stated that I didn't cancel within their 14 day trial period so they were not refunding my money. The survey was on 2/19/08, A follow up call, and a packet came in the mail on 3/20/08. I called after receiving the credit card bill on 3/24/08.
When I called them back to let them know that I didn't even receive the packet until 30 days later, they said the 14 day trial period was for the use of their website before I got the packet. I explained I didn't ever access their website, the survey was on some "yahooGroups" website, and they told me that they had sent me an email.
In checking my email, I still cannot find one that they sent me. So I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Nevada. In doing so, I noticed I'm not the only one they are scamming!!!
