Dishonest roofing company
After talking with my Insurance adjuster, I was told Correct Roofing incorrectly measured the roof which would have taken the estimate over an extra $1000. I left a message on the the rep 's phone concerning my getting another measurement on the roof from a local company. Correct rep left me a voice msg about how I just used them and had taken up their time. He also stated if I was trying to fraud the Ins Company, that was illegal. He basically chewed me out for not going with their company. I called back and spoke with the other rep and explained my concern and why I was taking this action and he basically stated the same thing and hung up on me.

Workmanship, etc.
Correct Roofing respresentative canvassed door to door. Their pitch was that they work with the insurance companies so i don't have to. We had some bad hail damage to our area in August 2008. Many homes had damage to their roofs, gutters, downspouts, soffits and fascia. The representative talked a really good sale and was easy to trust. He spent a lot of time explaining things and had come back a few times. Everything got screwed up after that. At this point the owner met with me and two of my neighbors that were to have them do a tear off and re-roof. At this point a "smart" person would have said forget it! The owner was talking the talk too. She actually tried to charge me $1, 300 more than we had just discussed! I, at this juncture, I said Wait a minute! During several conversations with the representative and the female owner I made it a point to ask if the roofers were skilled roofers. People that worked for them on a continual basis. I was assurred time and time again that they were. When my roof replacement was started, I saw they were using the standard grade of under layment paper. It was my understanding that a heavier grade of paper was to be used due to the fact that I was having the Archetectual/Dimensional shingles put on. When I went to speak to two of the men outside, they did not even speak English. They directed me to one of the men that did speak English. After this I went outside and started taking pictures of the roof. The men that saw me about froze in their tracks. Cut to about about 3 - 4 months later. I have a leak from the roof where the vent for the kitchen stove exhaust fan is. They did send someone out to fix it. Had the work been done by a skilled roofer there should not have been a leak. Bottom line: As they say, if someone comes to your door to solicit, SAY NO THANKS AND CLOSE THE DOOR. I will now have to always be worried that I may encounter more problems with this new roof. Also, I feel terrible because I got several of my neighbors to contract with Correct Roofing. If they have any problems due to their new roofs I will feel responsible. I had checked Correct Roofing out with the BBB. They were not listed with them. They had an excuse for that also. Word to the wise, use a local contractor that has a stake in the community and would have some accountability.
