Unethical
BRIDES BEWARE!!! We had the same experience as another person who posted here, unfortunately they DID finish the hall (mostly and this was October!!) and we DID have our wedding there. BIGGEST MISTAKE I EVER MADE. The "person who will remain nameless" who handles their weddings, and the owner do not know what "business ethics" are. This venue didn't even serve one of our salad options at dinner, never credited us for this either, just said "sorry". 2 half barrels of beer and cases of wine were purchased in advance, gratuity and tax included. Paid in full in advance. Upon beginning the cocktail it came to our attention AFTER the wedding was over that the bartenders were serving bottles of the beer we had on tap, not even offering our prepaid beer. and CHARGING our cocktail hour bill for the bottles at what we believe was 3.50 each!! Convenient to pad the bill to get more gratuity, they even had the nerve to tell one of our guests "why drink tap when bottles are free???" FREE? hardly. We had an agreement that was made with their wedding coordinator regarding if we decided to have open bar, she did not adhere to one thing we had agreed upon, served bottles of beer we had on tap, and charged us then after we told them not to serve shots of any kind, they did that as well!! in the end, we were presented an astronomical bar bill and a HUGE gratuity charge when the bartenders had multiple tip jars out that were filled to the brim more than once!! (to give you an idea this tab totaled more than our entire wedding cost including the food) we asked for a detailed backup of what we were being charged for, it was never presented, so as to not break OUR end of the contract we paid it with the understanding a detailed bill would be forthcoming the next day or two. NEVER presented it, NEVER credited us, NEVER bothered to even call or try to work it out. We were able to meet with them the next week and the girl who will remain nameless for now, said SHE THREW THE BAR TAB AWAY!! We wanted backup because we were presented a "guest check" like you get at a restaurant when you order your food, that said Bar $xxx Gratuity $xxx, NOTHING to show what we were charged for, convenient since she was charging us for items we had already paid for such as beer and wine, destroying the evidence of her scam. We were backed into a corner by these people presenting such nonsense of a bill, the only option we had was to pay it, or face being arrested for theft of services!! Brides, don't even consider it, the price you will pay in the end is not worth it, this place ruined my wedding. Please share this with everyone you know, it's not worth the trouble, go to a tried and true Kenosha banquet hall that has some ethics...anywhere but here. The last girl should be HAPPY she didn't get to have her wedding there.
