I purchased a corvette that was certified in Dec 2009. On Dec 23, 2009 while driving home my car starting making a loud noise and a bunch on smoke came from the rear. Had the car towed to Best Chevrolet and found out several days later the engine went out. The car was still under warranty but was told by Best Chevrolet that the engine may need to be looked at by prof and that the service tech will need to submit some diag to chev to seeif the engine has been modofied. I did not have any problems with that. 2 months goes by and my car is still in the shop w/no engine. Later I was told i needed a flywheel which was not covered under warranty. Had to shuck out $800 dollars and then wass told the spark plugs and wires was not covered either.I get my car from the dealer on 2/2/2010 and while driving it within 2 hours my check engine light comes on. I dropped the car off on 2/3 next morning and after diagnositic test, i was told it was the catayltic converter on the passenger side that needed to be replaced.That was under warranty no cost. A month later 3/15/2010 a warning light on my dash appeared stating service charging system. Was told by service advisor, the mechanic was trying to get the code for the error but may have to keep the car for antoher day.I informed the service advisor that I needed a rental car which was given to me after rasing hell. I recieved a call later that day stating it was the driver side catalytic convertor that needed to be replaced.On 3/16/2010 I got my car back. On 3/19/2010 when I tried to start my car, it just made a clicking sound. After 30 minutes, that car started. My check engine light came on and errors on dash saying service charging system again.The dealer Best said it was the transmitter that is located in the dash that is bad and they will have to order the part on Monday.On 3/25/2010 i picked up my car from Best Chevrolet after having the transmitter replaced but the car still had issues starting. While driving the car, my voltage gauge started dropping and then my service charging system light come on.Dropped my car off at Best and needed a rental car due to having a dentist app't. On 3/26/2010 the service advisor called me and said my car is ready and the starter had to be replaced. No charge due to cover under warranty.On 1/10/2011 check charging system, engine light and air bag light came on.I was told i needed another starter and for the air bag light It would cost me $100 dollars to replace the clips. I told them to forget about the airbag light but replace the starter. I asked them of they were using second hand parts or if the mechanic was incompetent.I was also informed that I needed a batterya dn the cost would be $284 plus tax. I told the service advisor I would get my own battery and bring it to them to install. I got my car back on 1/10/2011. on 1/11/2011 my check engine light reappeared and now my windows will not go all the up. I am so mad but I try to keep a calm head. On 1/12/2011 I get a call from the service advisor which says the catayltic convertor needs to be replaced again and that part will have to be orderd.I was told I could get a loaner car but when tried calling them they did not have any records of me getting one I just told them to forget.Service advisor called me the next day and said it would cost me $75 for them to reprogram my window. I told her that should have not been a cost for that. I told her my wife which is a Lexus, after installing a new battery you just have to do a sequence with the window to reprogram them. After going back and forth, i told the service advisor i will just pay for this crap. I called Chevrolet service hotline and complainted about the problems I have been having since day one.I recieved a call from GM mgr stating a GM engr will visit the dealer Best Chevrolet to do an overall assestment on my vehicle but will let me know in advance when he arrives so i can get a loaner car but have yet to hear back from anyone. 1/25/2011 when I got in my car to start it, it just made a clicking sound. I knew it was the starter agian. I had the car towed to Best Chevrolet. The next day the service advisor called me and said it was the starter and I would have to cover the cost $800 and i explained to her that I am not paying for anything. It is obvious that either your mechanic have no clue on what the hell they are doing and or the parts GM is using is trash. I have fixed car and I have never had to replace the same part over and over again. I told her i will never buy another chevrolet and I am looking to get rid of this car. On 2/22/2011 my check enging light came on again and I told the service advisor i hear clicking noise from my passenger rear side. I complained to Chevrolet hotline and told them I want to bring my car to another dealer that is reputable w/no cost associated due to all of the problems I am having w/ Best Chevrolet not fixing and diagnosing the car. I will seek legal action if I need to because either the car is a lemon and Best Chevrolet mechanic does not have the expertise to repair these type of vehicles.
