I was just at the Country Hound Cafe in Englewood,Fl where we had breakfast. The food was not very good we had a traditional breakfast eggs, bacon, grits, biscuits, coffee.
The overeasy eggs were to done, the grits were very thick and dry on top,and the biscuits were very plain and falling apart. The omelets they make in the pan on other people's plates looked good that seems to be there specialty. They took off the money for the grits, which was nice. We would have gone to coney island but they were closed for the first. Next time we'll have the omelet in the pan. The owner is from up north and we have never gone to a restaurant in the south run by someone from north that has a cook that really knows how to make grits right. I guess we'll have to cook our own. Better luck next time.
