crooked car dealership
I bought my first car on my own from this dealership. Unfortunately, I am naive when it comes to car and business. I found a car I like and made a offer. They owner wouldnt budge, because he said he was giving me a great deal...and that is how much this car runs. I went to the bank to finance and they said they couldnt give me a loan for the asking amount because the bluebook value for the car in perfect condition was 1, 000 less then what the owner was asking. I called the owner and tried to haggle with him(Im not the aggresive type and have never purchased a car by myself before). He said he couldnt do that, because this car was worth such a great deal. The bluebook value was 1, 000 less then he was asking for--this car had NO RADIO, BLACK PLASTIC RIMS, NO HEAT GUAGE(DIDNT NOTICE TILL I GOT HOME), NO AIR CONDITIONING, ETC...he told me to tell the bank he lowered the price--claiming to help me out...and to slide him the extra grand in cash. I believed him. After signing the papers THE CAR WOULD NOT START. He claimed the battery was dead and they were to replace it with a new one...I took the car home and 2 weeks later I had to replace the battery because he LIED and put in a used battery. Within the next two months I spent THOUSANDS fixing the lemon. They power windows ceased to function, I had to replace the front and back brakes, replace the busted motor mounts, pulleys had to be replaced, the timing belt had to be replaced He sold me a lemon. I called him crying because I still had a 5, ooo loan on a car that wouldnt work. He said he didnt give a shit. I told him Id call the better business bureu and he said goodluck...they cant touch him...Oh!!! and they dont maintain cars on lot. I was stupid to ignore warning signs. I wanted to test drive some other cars---but there was no oil in them!!! so I couldnt even test drive them, I know one thing about cars my mom told me...if there is no oil the engine can seize up
