I relocated from Gaylord to Traverse City to get away from the drug scene in my unit in Gaylord. I went to Country View Apartments. They said it was a nice quiet place and I can have pets. I have a little dog and a cat. I thought it was expensive but as long as I can keep my pets and it was quiet and peaceful, I would pay the price. Little did I know, it was the opposite extreme.
When I moved in, the landlord said I could only have one pet. I can't have satilite tv. I can hear everything the neighbors say and do, (pee) their bed sqeeks so I know when they go to bed and when they get up. My dog barked a couple of times and the neighbors complained and I was given a notice to quit. Landlord realized he was wrong for jumping the gun and recanted his notice. I was late one month on the rent and was give a notice to quit. I paid and he took it back. I moved to a different apt in the same building and cleaned both places. I was late on rent and he charged me $50 bucks. I decided to move. I can't sleep and keep getting threated to be kicked out every opportunity. I would call him and tell him the status of financial situation just to keep communication open and he threatens to evict and hangs up on me.
Unless you want drama in your life from a landlord, DO NOT MOVE IN HERE! His name is Tom Richie. He is a mean old man and has no business in a business dealing with people. He even evicted a women with a newborn baby because the baby was to loud. The neigbors called about my dog and I told them they can probably hear my dog breath. I can't wait to be out of there. I can't sleep and scared all the time that I am going to get threatened again.
