Burbank discremination
On February 28, 2010, my husband made purchases at your Staples located at 1060 W. Alameda Avenue, Burbank, CA 91506. Upon check-out he presented a coupon issued February 26, 2010 by Christina, a manager at that location. For whatever reason, the computer rejected the coupon and the manager on duty, Heather Hulberth was called to assist. Heather Hulberth implied that because the computer did not accept the coupon that it was stolen.
Unfortunately, this has been the second time that there has been an issue with this same manager. On an earlier occasion, I requested information regarding your holiday return policy and not only did she give the incorrect information, she implied that I would use the product and try to return it after I no longer had use for the product, a ludicrous accusation. I send a letter to the Ms. Carol Gold the General Manager of the store regarding the matter and never received a reply.
I am disappointed because I frequent Staples for all my computer and office supplies and this location is the closest and most convenient to my office. It's amazing, with the current state of our economy, that Staples has the autonomy to alienate customers.
To resolve this ongoing customer service problem with this particular Staples, I would appreciate an explanation for the rude behavior of Heather Hulberth and the total disregard of your General Manager, Carol Gold. Until I receive a reply and sufficient explanation, I will be taking my business to your competitors and advise my employees, colleagues and family members to do the same.
If you have any questions please contact me, otherwise, I look forward to hearing from you soon.
