On Friday, March 25th I was at Courtesy Auto Care getting work done on my current vehicle. While waiting I decided to walk around the car lot to see what they had. A 2008 Volkswagen Passat with 18, 000 miles caught my eye. The list price was 11, 977. I talked with a salesman about the car and was quite interested. The next day on March 26th my wife and I went to look at the car and take it for a test drive. We knew it was a great car at a great price and decided to purchase the car. They offered us what we wanted for our vehicle on a trade-in and we filled out the paperwork for the financing. While they were processing our application we walked around the lot. After about 10 minutes our salesman came and told us their technician had listed the price wrong on the car. The real price was 19, 900 but we could buy it for 17, 900. He said there was no way they could offer us the listed price on the car. Can they really do that? Is this considered false advertising? The price of 11, 977 was on the front window, on the paper on the side window with all the features of the car and also on the internet. Do we have any recourse?
