I've been using Tivo with Cox Cable TV in Phoenix for about 2 years. For the past 4 months, the Scientific Atlanta Cable cards installed in the TiVo repeatedly lose the channels. I've had Cox techs about 15 times in the past five months. The problem persists to this very day.
I've called TiVo about 30 times and they assure me that they are having discussions with Cox and Sci Atl. My TiVo's have been changed 3 times, so it was not the fault of just one machine. I can't determine where the problem lies; with TiVo, Cox, Scientific Atlanta, or all three. I'm in the middle and paying the bill. This is unacceptable.
I believe that it's taken far too long for this issue to be resolved. The level of technology development is far too great for this problem to have persisted this long.
