CPA Disaster Kit Reviews

Nina Karletti March 29, 2010
charge of $99.95
I ordered an emergency kit for a $1 plus $3.99 postage as a thank you for filling out a survey from CPA Disaster Kit. The company CPA Disaster Kit charged an additional $99.95 to my credit card. I was able to contact someone at the company and they gave me a credit of $70. The $29.95 was deducted due to a restocking fee. I never got anything except the dollar kit (maybe worth $10 maximum) so I don't know what they are restocking?? I filed a dispute with my credit card company and they are working on it.

was charged 99.95
I didn't approve the withdrawal of $ 99.95 from my account. I understood this was a free gift for a $1.00 and that I had to pay the 3.99 S/H fee for taking a survey. I would like to return the item and refund of $99.95 to my account.

False Advertising and Theft
I received a bill today for $99.95 for a kit that was not worth $10.00. If it looked like the Kit you advertised I would have said it was the best $1.00 spent. Pluss the $3.99 S&H.You never answered any of my letters and I am not paying $99.995 for junk. If you want me to return this kit I will. You promised to send a portable radio and blanket. Please resppond to this letter. If I do not hear from you by March 1, 2010. I will report this incident to the Better Business Bureau for false advertisement.
and for taking $99.95 without my consent. I called the phone number 1-877-231-2803 and the receiver John said there was nothing that could be done.

credit card charged $4.99 plus $104.95
Help! I've been a victim of online fraud! What can I do? I thought I was getting a disaster kit for $1.00 and s/h was $3.99. I recieved the kit in the mail and it wasn't worth the $89.99 value that it was given. I was charged the total $4.99 to my credit card and then charged this month$104.95 but there wasn't any fine print saying what it was for. I don't know if I paid for another kit and didn't recieve it or I was charged twice. How can I clear up my problem? Who can I contact? Do I just go to the credit card company? Please help me know what I should do!

Thanks,
Been Scamed!

Tricky advertising unclear and scam!
Tricky advertising that inventually charges your account an extra $99.95 for an original offered disaster kit for $3.99. The kit was only worth the $3.99. Very sad!

UNAUTHORIZED CHECKING WITHDRAWAL
I was charged $99.95 for a disaster kit that was advertised at 4.99. No place that I read in their advertisement told me that if I kept the kit it would cost me $99.95. IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY!! I called the phone number listed with the charge and she was not helpful at all. She gave me an email address to write to and told me there was no phone number--only email based responses.
