unprofessional and harrass consumers
This company has done nothing but harrass me and my references. they called me the day my payment was due. called my boss and told him if i made late payment they could and would make HIS business look bad. they charge out two payment from my account one month without authorization and refuse to admit or refund the amount or even count it as another months payment. when explaining that i wouldn't have a home if i paid them this week instead of the next, i was told that didn't matter and that i should live in my car. they also called my work and told one of my coworkers about my account and that they wanted to set up a time to pick up my car. IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE DO NOT USE THEM

Awful experience
I was a temp employee working as a security guard at the CPS building in Sacramento. One of my duties was to enforce the no parking area where I was stationed. A social worker parked there against the rules. She knew full well that she could not park there. She goes to whatever she had going with 'clients'.

She is meeting with clients and to do my job I had to tell her to move my car. She was dismayed, complained about how she had to see her clients and could not be interrupted but eventually went down and moved her car. The no parking rule was because it gave rise to a safety hazard. If that was the only place she could park she should be been more punctual so as to park in the regular parking lot. The social worker complained to her boss and my boss. I was fired. Apparently this social worker is so important that she can disregard the rules that apply to everyone.

I got ripped off because I lost two weeks of work because the general rules that apply to all don't apply to social workers. These highly paid self important people who can't keep kids alive.

auto loan
I am complaing that this companys customer service is horrible. I called to inquire about my vechile and was treated horrible by one of there customer service reps, her name is regina and I asked to speak to her supervisor ten times and she would not transfer me. I said to the lady that i need to speak to them and either she will transfer me or I would call back. She said was I telling her what she was going to do. Currently I awiat a supervisors response.

authorization on checkcard
My husband called to make a payment (which was past due) for my auto loan. He realized he didn't have the checking account info to do a check over the phone, and he told the representative he would call back, which he did in 15 minutes, and made the payment via check by phone. We've used check by phone with them for at least the last 6 months. At one point in time I probably used my debit card to make a payment, but it had been at least six months, up to a year.

When I looked at my bank account, CPS used my checkcard to authorize $1.01...which makes no sense since that is obviously not my car payment amount. I suspect that they were checking to see if my checking account was still open. However, since I work in the payment card industry, the fact that the stored that data and made an unathorized transaction using my debit card concerns me very very much. I know what can happen, and I know what the regs are regarding storing sensitive cardholder data in a computer system (CVV, track 2 data, etc.)

When my husband called to inquire about this, he was told he was never authorized to speak on the account, and that I had called in and made the check by phone payment. He and I conference called CPS, where a representative named "Mil" stated that "I needed to tell my husband the truth", that I had made a debit card payment that had not gone through and that is why I did a check by phone. Nevermind that I have not called CPS in the last year- my husband has been handling all of the payments. She called me a liar repeatedly, cussed, and refused to listen to me about the unauthorized debit.

I have since spoken with someone else at the organization and sent a letter of complaint asking for the call recordings to be pulled, a transcript sent to me for when this debit was supposedly authorized (again, makes no sense because it was not for the payment amount), explained why they were in violation of PCI security regs re: storage of customer cardholder data. I also asked for the calls to be reviewed in which "Mil" told me I was lying to my husband.

I have not yet gotten a response (this happened yesterday), but I will push and push until I do. I know they think since I have a loan with them I am just a poor credit dummy...but I'm a smart person, with a good job in the industry ...I just had unfortunate situations with my credit.

I will continue to file complaints until this has been resolved.

avoidance of communication
Temarary custody was given to a non family memebr and now she wont bbring the baby back, saying she has full custody and doesnt have to tell the paprents anything an has taken the baby to houston texaswhile she helps clean u from hurrican Ike

Harrassing phone calls while at work
In February 2007, an associate from CPS calls me to receive a payment over the phone for my car. I provided him with the information and asked him to verify the information provided by reading it back to me. He replies "Ma'am, I've been doing this job for 12 years now, the account number is correct". In March, a very rude associate calls me stating that I was 30 days late on a payment and it had to be paid immediately which included the daily interest charged after the due date. I explained to her that I make a payment by check over the phone, maybe the information was in their system incorrectly. I put her on the phone with my bank to correct the error. She then realized that her associate was at fault for the payment never being recieved. I never got an apology or any. Yet she insisted that I still pay the late fee accumilated from this error. I told her to go F*** herself and if she charges an extra dime to my account I'll sue them fraudulant activity on my bank account. Later I refinanced my car.

Where is my money going?!?!
I purchased my vehicle in 2007. I had my car 2 weeks when they were already threatning to repo it. They tried saying I lied on my employment status. Of course I did not and had her call my HR dept since the person CPS talked to had been a guard at my place opf employment. (morons!) So of course that problem got solved. On my 32nd day of having my vehicle they threatened to repo AGAIN claiming that I had never got insurance for my vehicle. Well you can't leave the car lot without insurance so I informed the lady on the phone that if she wanted the information right away- to call my insurance rep herself since I was at work and could not waste anymore time on people who didn't do their job to begin with. 2nd problem solved! After that they had an issue with my bank account since I was set up for them to withdrawal the money monthly- they didn't do it- couldn't give me a reason why- and wanted to charge me for it, they still to this day have not sent me a payment book which I have requested over and over and over again, I started making my payments through MoneyGram at no cost to me they said. YEA RIGHT! Anywho it's been a year and half later and I still have not seen a pmt book, I got laid off from work and called them to make arrangements and they kept giving me the run around. Now I find out that my last months pmt was used for some late fees from months ago that I had no idea I had. When I asked when these late fees are from the lady on the phone said she could not tell me. Hahaha bullshit. Now they threatened to repo my car, report it stolen or what not and even called my Mother to ask her to pay the bill. I am now going through an attorney since they did not accept my pmt and infact used my car pmt to pay something else. I would advise everyone- EVERYONE who is looking at CPS to not get involved with this company they are crooks and are looking at a lot of problems soon.

Harrassment
These people call my job, they harrass my mom. Instead of leaving me a message at work. They zero out and harrass our receptionist. I have read several complaints about this company and I can't understand for the life of me why they are still able to constantly harrass people. I was due to call a lady back form CPS. But during that time I have been trying to get money for my car payment due to lack of work from being on FMLA. This was only over the weekend. I also got home that Monday and got a call that a family member passed. This was TOTALLY unexpected. I won't go into details about their death but it has blown the family away and everyone is devasted. CPS calls with harrassing calls again today. Something needs to be done with this complany.

They are the w0rst collectors in the world they constantly call they call my references and harass them, they call my job they call everybody phone private. I hate them!

RUDENESS
I explained to a customer service representative by the name of Palmer that I recently switched jobs and wanted to set up a payment on my account for the previous month. I could not finish telling the representative what my intentions were to make my account currect when she just rudely interrupted me saying I need to do this or that. She began getting loud on the phone and I specifically told her that I was not calling to argue with her all I wanted to do was set up my account. She would not allow me to call her back after I review other payment dates to get my account current. I hung up on her because she began to get louder on the phone and would not let me have a word to say. I only wanted to bring my account to current and this lady would not allow me to do so. Even when she calls my personal phone and leave a message, her message states "you need to call me immediately in reference to your account" sounding very aggressive and not like a person that is used of dealing with customers. I would appreciate it if she does not leave me another message on my phone and at my previous job. My payments will be done either on line or thru money gram on time.
