Bad service
Where to begin? First, it's my fault for not checking out this fraudulent company from the start on ResellerRatings. I ordered some UV paint and some UV additive for my water-cooling set-up for a total of about $50.00. I received an email from them that they got my order and it said that they were busy during the holidays, and to please be patient. The holiday they were talking about was CHRISTMAS!!! It was now May 16, 2003!!! I placed this order almost a full 5 months AFTER Christmas. This was my first warning that something was amiss. If they can't even keep an automated email response up-to-date, I figured there was going to be some problems with my order. I immediately called the number listed and to my surprise (NOT!) it was disconnected. I sent them an email in not so friendly terms that I wanted an update on my order or I would put a stop payment on it. I never received an email back so I went to the bank to stop payment. Unfortunately, with a check card you cannot put a stop payment, you can only freeze your account. That was something I wasn't going to do. For 1 week they did not charge my card. Then on the 23rd of May they finally did. Today I called my bank and filed a dispute. I did get my money back from them provisionally. I'm sure that will turn into something more permanent, as CPUFX must prove that they actually sent something to me to get paid themselves. Since they haven't sent anything, THEY LOSE!!! I take great happiness in knowing this company and it's sister company OverclockersHideout.com are not going to get a penny of my money after all. I fond it completely unfathomable that this company is still in business, and even more amazed that the owner isn't rotting in jail somewhere.
