I have been a Bank of America customer for many years. I have over one hundred thousand dollars in an account in that organization. I have always made my payments on time and have a high credit score. I have a credit card with this same bank and they charge me 9.72% interest... My wife was late four days with one payment she forgot but made the payment as soon as she realized. I get a letter from the Bank telling me my credit rate went to 26.72% interest for six months. Nowe I expected a small fine or late fees but this results in usary and theivery who can pay 26.72%on a credit card? No working person making less then 100 thousand a year could afford that it shopuld be illegal to do such things if the mafia did it I would understand but a bank? In these times it is tough enough on hard working America to keep above water and we bailed these bastrds out? I say we need a class action suit on these theives and they are stealing no doubt baout it. Most folks cannot afford to do what I am going to dao and that is cancel the credit card withdraw my mony and stop all business with Bank of America.. I also am considering a class action suit gainst the bank and whatever Federal agency that is allowing this to happen to my fellow citizens. We need common sense interest for all people and this is beyond the pale of ethics in my estimation and it is a detriment to the economic vitality of the nation
