Oscar Mejia Threatening Consumers-Santa Ana California
Credit one is the lender/finance company I used to purchase a vehicle through. I have been three months behind on payments; I agreed to work something out. I was unable to, and told Oscar Mejia, my account rep I would give up the car, to pick it up from my home address by email. My husband received a call from their Legal Department three times between 7:32-7:34 am on 4/24/09; they have called him several times at work. My parents have received numerous calls, even though they told Oscar not to call, because our relationship is strained due to Oscar's rude/harassing everyday contact with them. I told Oscar to pick the car up by phone and email on 4/24/09. 4/25/09 I got a call from his supervisor stating they were aware of this, and what do I want to do. 4:58pm-on 4/25, Oscar left a vim stating they were coming after me and this would never end!4/25/09 at 8:07 pm. Oscar called me from (714) 916-3612 and told me they would not take the car back, they wanted their money, and I better go out and get it or something will happen! I told him I have been unemployed and unable to, he told me to grow up and borrow it, I told him no one I knew would be able to help me they are in bad situations like me, and I told him I had to pay my rent, because I almost was evicted. He told me I better get him some money or he was sending someone after me. I asked him what did that mean, he was sending someone to kill me, and he said you said it! Not me! You will find out! He told me you better go get a job right now! I told him it was late, and he cannot call me past 8 pm, it is against the law, he told me I don't know anything about the law, when it comes to his money I better get it. I told him I am not into killing or selling drugs, I can't get a job at night. I yelled obscenities at him; he told me you better get the money. I don't understand Credit One gave me the money for a car, they don't want the car, and they want the money. I told him, I don't have it and I wasn't lying. I told him I told him to pick the car up yesterday, he said we want the money and you better get it, and he hung up on me. Earlier in the week someone came to my door, and I watched through the peephole as they pounded the door with hands and feet! I was afraid to answer the door. They left a note from Credit One. I am really afraid, several times a day Oscar calls and leaves rude, harassing messages to myself, and my family members. I tried to make my payments, I have been unemployed and unable to, and they can get the car. I am really afraid to talk to anyone from that company anymore. Oscar Mejia always insinuates that something is going to happen to me, that things are going to get worse for me with dealing with Credit One, and they are sending someone to get me. Please help me. I have saved over 19 messages from him. I have some documentation as well

Total scam
I never applied for a credit one credit card. They sent me a card that I trashed and never activated. I started getting bills for a card that was never activated and used with a fees of $25 every month. Called the customer care rep - said that I had opened the account (LIE) and had all the info on me. Asked him to delete the account and also inquired how could the card be used without activation - he hung up the phone on me. They are pure scammers .. stay away from them!

Called another rep and then had to talk with the manager to cancel the account. Fraudulent company - dont forget to report identity theft after getting your account closed.

Probably Fraud
I signed up for Credit One to help boost my credit rating. I already had three cards from reputable companies and paid the balance in full every month. I had no problem with the annual fee (although outrageous), but they do have the hidden fees. Did not read fine print. My fault. Have written them to cancel my account. They ignore it. THAT screams fraud. I paid online so now I have to go to the bank and my lawyer tmw in case they decide to use my bank digits to clean me out.

FRAUDLULENT CARD-SENT TO COLLECTIONS
I never applied for a credit card, nor did I ever receive a card from Credit One. When I went to purchase a vehicle, there was a charge off from Credit One. I wrote them and they were unable to verify the account or charges. I have this in writing. They then SOLD the account to another party, who is suing me. The third party bought the account, which is for about $600, for pennies on the dollar. I now have an attorney involved and previously had made a formal complaint with the FTC, and filed a sworn statement that this was identity theft, yet they still sold the card and are pursuing it., My attorney is going to counter sue for far more than their 600 balance. This ruined my credit and I am disguisted that, despite the fact that they could not verify the account, they still put it on my bureau. The bureau removed it, but then the second company put it on.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL RESELL YOUR ACCOUNT TO TEN DIFFERENT PEOPLE!
The government needs to step in.

Unauthorized charges
I was told to contact Credit One LLC when my credit score was low and I was going to get a bad rate. Remax in Elizabethtown suggested that I contact them. When I contacted them a guy (the owner and I will not state his name) told me he was my savior of the credit world and he knows how to manipulate the credit companies to do his will. He also went on to tell me how the government doesn't want us to improve our scores and so on and so on. I was a little wary of him but I was really out of options and thought that I would give it a shot and go talk to him. So that same night on the phone he told me that he needed 600 dollars to start the process and get going. I told him that I didn't have 600 dollars and he told me that he would take payments. So I gave him my debit card. So I go to talk to this guy and 4 days later and he doesn't even remember talking to me on the phone. We talked for almost 2 hours, well he talked and I listened. But what made me feel comfortable when I got their was that he was a Mason. Being that I am a Mason as well I thought well this guy couldn't be all to bad and he would at least lead and be straight with his own brother. I was wrong. I did all that he wanted me to do, I would request my credit reports each month from all three major agencies and send them to him. From there he would dispute any incorrect info. Also he told me to do something I was unsure about and that was to change my address to a realities address or friends address so that it would create a 'new file' if you will. I found this to be odd and asked him if this was legal and he said that people changed their address all the time. So my wife and I did. He said that it would take 6 months for the process to be complete and I should be shinning like gold. Well let me tell you, I didn't apply for anything during that time. I got a pay raise at my job and actually paid off some bills and my credit score and my wifes scored never improved. My wifes score actually went down. So, I called my savior of the credit world up and asked him why I paid him 600 dollars to actually lower my score and actually why I had to change my address. I asked him to give me documentation on what he did for the services I paid for. All I got from him was a lie that he never told me to change my address and that he didn't like my voice on the phone towards him and that he would fax me over something. I never received anything from him, and my future call to him were never returned. He was never there. This 'company' is still in business how I don't know. I have an attorney ready to do something about this but before I do anything I was just wondering if anyone else out there was asked to do the same as me.

Ultra Poor Customer Service
After having charges against my card denied, and knowing that there was money in my account, I called Credit One customer service and was told that the card had expired. The cards expiration date was 04/11, so I asked for a manager. The manager was unable to explain why the charges were denied, so he said that I would recieve a new card in 7-10 days. Never recieved it. Called customer service, and they said that I did not recieve the card because I did not update my change of address, even though I was recieving paper bills via the mail at my new address! After revieving a faux appology from the manager, He said He would send the new card via (2) day rush mail to my updated address. The card was sent via regular mail to my old address. Never got it. Called customer service again, got another heartfelt apology, and a promise that I would recieve the card in (2) days. Did'nt get it. Called again, got an apology, and was told that I would get the card in 7-10 days. We'll see. If I do recieve the card in (7) days, the total elapsed time from my initial complaint until the time I actually recieve the card will be over (21) days. Is that good customer service or what! I don't plan on keeping this card very much longer as I'm sure that this is not an isolated incident.

opened account w/o my authorization
They opened up an account/credit card for me WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION/PERMISSION! I never would have accepted their offer- $75.00 just to to get their VISA card? I never even received a card, and I DON'T WANT IT! I will be writing to the Attorney General's Office.
