Harrasing and Demeaning phonecall
My wife has a debt that is in collections with this firm. We were on a payment plan with them and then we fell on some hard times and had to stop paying. Recently I tried to borrow some money to pay them and some other debts off. Since I was trying to figure out the least I could borrow and still get rid of debts, we called them and asked them what would our payoff be if we were to procure the funds to pay them off. They gave us the payoff amount and told us how long it was good for. We needless to say I was unable to borrow enough funds to pay everyone off mainly due to my credit scores and my home's value having considerably dropped which I assume is related to the economy. I called them back to explain to them that I was unable to pay them off at this time but that I will be sending them a payment every month until my situation improved. The man said I was lying and went on to say that he had a recording of my wife guaranteeing him that I had indeed the financing and would definitely be paying them. This surprised me and I was not sure how to react so I told the man that I would speak to my wife and would call him back shortly. He continued to threaten to play the alleged recording and that my wife was a liar. I kept my cool and repeated that I would call him back, and that I just wanted to let him know that I would be putting some sort of payment in the mail every month. He then responded with "Don't even bother!" and when I tried to explain once again he hung up the phone.
The real headaches started when my wife called them back. He told her about this recording. My wife asked him to play the recording several different times to no avail. He proceeded to raise his voice talk down to her with one rude comment after another. When she asked to speak to his supervisor, he informed her that he was the supervisor. The man went on to say that he wasn't going to take anything she said seriously because he couldn't believe a word she said since she is always lying (paraphrasing). He did not stop until she was almost in tears and hung up the phone.
It is my understanding that he has legally crossed the line and that I can report them to the Attorney General's Office. I have already placed that phone call. Don't get me wrong, I am trying hard to crawl out of debt and get things right. However, there's only so much money to go around and their tactics are highly unprofessional.

Stay away
This collection agency has apparently bought this bad debt from Sears, who also is a merciless company. My Mother-In-Law fell and broke her hip one year ago this month and had to be permenantly placed in a nursing home. She is on Medicaid and is left with $25.00 per month and this company has started to harass her and ask why she stoled this money from Sears.
I had called Sears and told them 6 months ago that my Mother-in-Law had to way to repay her Sears credit card debt, but they could care less. These people seem to flourish when they can bring a 89 year old crippled. wheelchair patient to tears. I am now going to send them a "cease & disist" letter, but knowing these types of scum, this will not stop them since the cowards can hide behind a phone line. I will also file a report with the Ohio States Attorney General.
Why would anyone want a job like this?

Harrassing Communication
I made arrangement with this company over a year ago when my job was "down-sized" and my husband has been disabled since 2002. I've been making monthly payments and they have cashed all but the last 2 months payments. I received a lettler yesterday demanding payment in full - that I have not complied in making arrangements with this company. They are not professional and very rude. I refuse to talk on the phone with them again. I sent them a certified/return receipt letter with copies of all the checks they have cashed. I honestly don't think this will ever end. I'll do oweing this group of jerks.

Unprofessional
Hi, I called to speak about my account and I was given a number to a man that was being very rude and disrespectful. His name was Dan Olson and his number was 866 861 4938. He made comments about me needing to go to church which has nothing to do with my account. He made comments above taking my little checkbook out my little pocket and just give him the numbers. As i told him he was being unprofessional and wanted to speak to his boss, he said hes the boss and he hung up the phone. I called back expecting to be able to speak to a manager but he answered saying that I need to stop calling his house. Honestly, I didnt kno that was his house cause it was a 866 number but he clearly could've came me the number to the main office. He also made a comment saying hes going to call the police on me. I dont kno what to do and I'm scared my social security number is involved and the way this man was acting I dont think he should be around anyones social security number. I would like some answers soon. I tried calling Creditors Financial Groups main number and they seem to bounce me around. Can you please help me.

Calling for another person will not take my phone number off their list.
I continue to receive calls on my cell phone from 1-877-298-2251. When I answer the phone, no response. Another time, I answered, got a recording saying "If this is Victoria Little, please stay on the line" So I hung up. Another time, a message was left, "If this is Victoria Little, please stay on the line" then "by listening to this call, you are confirming that you are Victoria Little" IT WAS TALKING TO MY VOICE MAIL.
I called them today, and was transferred to a Mr. Lewis who hung up on me. I called them a second time, the lady who helped me said that my cell number is NOT in their system. She transferred me back to Mr. Lewis, who said it will take 24 hours to remove this number. That's 2 people with 2 different stories. He was rude and obnoxious and has no business talking to anyone.
This uses up minutes on my cell that I am not being reimbursed for. Who else can I file a complaint with?
