The company phoned my home number and told my girlfriend that my order (the ring) had arrived. It was supposed to be a surprise and up to that point she had no idea. I had acted very uninterested in the whole ring thing and fooled her completely. I specifically requested that my home number NOT be called for this reason.
In compensation, the company has offered $300 in a store giftcard Does anyone think this is suitable repayment for taking away the surprise of giving a woman an engagement ring? I don't but would like others opinions to be sure I'm not being unreasonable. Did anyone have the same thing happen to them and what happened if it did?
