Crescent Processing Company Reviews

Scam Company
Do not do business with this company. They are rude and offer horrible service. We just signed with them and they lost a large amount of money for us in the first month and refused responsibility. They will not release us from our contract and we hate doing business with them. How can we get out of this without paying their $500 fee and who knows what else as I have heard nightmare stories about canceling with them as well. Beware. This is a horrible company. If anyone knows how to get out of doing business with them without spending so much money please let us know.

unethical slick dealing, hidden fees
Watch out for this company. they send out salesmen that are fast talking, they tell you all about the great savings their company's credit card processing is for the small business. They dont however tell you many important things. they hand you this really long contract with lots of small print. they rushed me into signing it. I didnt have time to read thru it and the few questions I asked like: Can I cancel with out a fee? I was answered yes you can. that is because some slick lawyer called it something else Like a conversion fee of $495.00 to end the contract. They dont send out invoice's out until after they take money out of your account. The $6.50 a month promise is accurate, but there are fees for alot of other stuff you didnt know about. And if there isnt enough money in your account when they take out your charges they wack you with a $30.00 fee and then put it through again and again. There are several fees thru out the year. One for $89.00 one for $99.00 all labeled under misleading names. this company has cost me my checking account credibility, I lost my debit card to the account because of to many NSF charges related to this company. Its hard to figure out what they are going to take out of your account when you dont get the monthly statement until about 7 days after they take the money. if you dont have alot in the bank this company will hurt you, Ive lost over $1000.00 and now I am trying to save up the $495. to get out of the contract... remember to run when they come around... Of course its all legal, they make sure of that... But that doesnt make it feel any less like stealing to the average small business person... Never encountered a company like this in 18 years of business

Deceptive Business Practices, contract says they do not stand behind anyting the salesman said, they can change what they charge at any time without notice. the salesman said 2 yrs but in the 21 pg handbook it says 4 yrs. close bank account, complain to FTC, BB Dallas, State Atty General. Class Action lawsuit, Deceptive Practices, clauses hidden in the handbook that are part of the contract. Hope they are on Americas Most wanted some day.

Lies and more lies
I was pressured to hear a sales pitch to take credit cards. The sales person was sent on the wrong date when we were not open and then came back again when
we were. He gave me his pitch and I told him I was not ready to accept cards, though I would eventually like to. He pleaded with me to please just fill out the
application so that he would not have to drive 30 miles for the 3rd time to set up an account if we decided to. He told me there would be no obligation if we did not want the service, all we had to do was return the card machine and as long as we did not use it, there would be no charges. He scrolled through the contract
without letting me read it and paraphrased what it said and had me sign an electronic signature pad (which apparently is inserted into whatever terms they want to make up after they leave). He told me the $60 processing fee was waived and deleted that from the contract. The rate was supposed to be 1.64% plus .25/per transaction. After having me sign, he called into his company and handed me a packet with the terms and conditions. He told the woman on the phone that he was waiving the processing fee and she recorded me agreeing to this and also had me read out a number on the packet with the terms (which I had not been given to read until then). When I opened the packet, the terms were all different from what I had just put an electronic signature to and I questioned the sales rep (his name is Jesse Nuttall) as to why it was different. He responded that he knew it was different, but it didn't matter because the contract on his computer superseded that one, the packet was just so I would have the rules on hand. I asked for a copy of the contract and he said I would be sent one because he did not have a printer. I received the box the day before we left for vacation for 2 weeks. When I returned there were emails and phone calls from Crescent reprimanding me for not having set up my machine yet. I did not like this pressure and sent the unused
equipment back in the box it came from and decided I did not want their service. A couple weeks later, $66.88 was deducted from my account. I emailed the sales rep and reminded him that he had told me there was no obligation and that he had waived fees and asked him what I was being charged for. He relied and
apologized and said to call his supervisor and he would refund my money. His supervisor referred me to client services who insisted that I had signed in
agreement to pay the processing fee of $60. I did not ever see this on anything that I was shown that I signed, plus there was a verbal discussion on the phone
where it was discussed that it was waived.I argued with the supervisor for a while but she kept gloating that I had signed this. I asked her to email me the contract since I was never provided a copy to read. She said she would but she never has done so. She later called and left me a message stating she had listened to a recording where I agreed to the $60 charge. I am assuming if this recording exists, it was edited as I was very clearly told that the fee was waived. Since I was not interested for sure, I would have never agreed to the $60 charge. After speaking to her, a statement arrived and there was the $60 processing charge, plus a monthly service fee of $6.50 and a transaction charge of .38 (despite the machine never having been used for a transaction). I have found hundreds of claims online of others defrauded by this company. I was also told by the sales rep that I could cancel at any time, but others online have said that the contract (which I have not seen) locks you into a 4 yr agreement and they charge $495.00 to cancel. I closed my bank account to prevent more fraud from them. Stay away from Crescent!!!

This company is a complete scam
We will be cancelling Crescent Processing Services for our credit card processing as soon as the contract is up in Sept. This company is a complete scam. We were bound by a contract. We lived up to our agreement, but they have not lived up to theirs. They hold onto funds for no reason. This is so they can draw interest on the money, while you are waiting and waiting for deposits to appear in your bank account. Their processing fees are way out of line, and we cannot wait for our contact to be up.

DO NOT CONSIDER THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL DO YOU WRONG, AND THEY ARE NOT WHAT THEY WERE PRESENTED TO BE.

Don't make the same mistake I did, stay away from these guys
What looked/ sounded like a good deal on credit card processing has turned into a nightmare. The 1.64% base processing for credit cards has turned into monthly rates ranging from 4.05% to 6.22% after they add in all the fees and flim flam that were poorly explained by their rep. And to think I used them because they were recommended. I've been had, and with a 4 year contract to boot. Don't make the same mistake I did, STAY AWAY from these guys.

This company is nothing but a joke
This company is nothing but a joke. They promise you everthing.. for example.. they say as soon as you make your sale they will pay that same day, and that is nothing but BS.. it took me 2 weeks to get paid on my sales... also they expect for us to go hook up the machine for the merchant and that is not part of the deal and we dont get paid more for doing it... which means have to waist more gas money and time... this comapany doesnt keeps its promise.. i feel sorry for the merchants that already signed up.. i wished they didnt... they are going to get screwed up...
