I cannot even see when they are screwing me
Nothing but increasing fees- fees never disclosed like Yearly Corp Fee. Rep never disclosed. Also never disclosed the Mid/Non qualified fees being almost 2% on top of the 1.6% they already charge. Called to complain- they said they could get me to a 1.59% non qual swipe. 3 months later came to find out I am still at the higher rate!! Frustrated! They changed the bill layout- now the bill does not breakdown which charges were for non qul swipes and which were standard- how nice! Now I cannot even see when they are screwing me...

The company is horrible and I will never do business with them again
I am a small business owner and I accept credit cards through Crescent. I cannot say I am happy with them. I told the sales rep most of my business is cash and checks and that I rarely have the need to accept credit cards. She told me no problem, we would not put a monthly minimum for you. Well, the first 3-4 months I was billed and "fined" for not meeting their minimum requirement. I had to call every month and go through the same deal to get the charges reversed. The a few months later they billed me $98. I caleld and they said it's a charge for fraud. They said a notice was sent to me. So I did look at my previous statement and it was written in small print at the bottom. Real convenient. Apparently it was a new fee. So I told them if they continue to get "new fees" I would cancel this. The next day they kindly withdrew $350 from my account for cancellation. They said since I threatened to cancel it was a violation of the terms. Funny how the sales rep told me that if it didn't work out I could cancel. Turns out I can cancel...after FOUR YEARS!!! So they did put the money back in my account...at the rate of $50/month. The company is horrible and I will NEVER do business with them again.

Scam and mis-presentation
Scott, a Cresent salesman, contacted me and stated he could save me money and buy out my current contracts by signing on with his company. He showed up at my business not once but twice to go over all the information and any questions I had. My major complaint was being told not only by Scott but by the confirmation operator that both my existing contracts would be bought out if I signed up with Cresent. I didn't have a problem with the current company I was dealing with but when Scott said he could save me about $500.00 yr, he got my attention. Scott said to send my existing Veriphone machine back to my current company and when the bill came to close out the contract, I was to fax it to a guy named Dave at Cresent so he could pay it off. IT NEVER HAPPENED! The next month I still had money taken out of my account from my origional company. I called Cresent and they said they don't buy out leases-thats not what I was told nor did what I faxed over to them have the word LEASE anywheres on it. I called to talk with Dave and was told he no longer works at Cresent. I called Scott and he said he would handle everything. Five days later, when Scott didn't get back with me I called Cresent again. They stated they wouldn't pay off my $538.08 buy out but they would let me out of their 4yr contract. So instead of saving $500.00, Scott has now cost me $538.08 PLUS the cost of me signing on with another company! Scott also stated there was no contract. About 2 weeks after I signed, I got the hard copy, with my name spelled wrong, wrong address and also noticing a 4yr contract. NEVER electronically sign your name when a salesman tell you to. It magically appears on other lines you didn't intend to sign up for. Cresent is a horrible company that just kept repeating crap about the contract and not listening to the HORRIBLE experience via their salesman. He got his comission and bailed. His wife even said that Cresent told him if was to talk to me again that he would be fired. I don't know if that is true or not but how pathetic. OH, They also shut my machine off on February 19th even though it was paid for through the end of February. When I asked for some money back they refused! Imagine my embarrasment when I attempted to run a costomers card and it stated the Terminal ID was not valid! I have also lost money by having to bill some clients due to them not carrying cash or checks. VERY INCONVENIENT! DO NOT SIGN ON WITH CRESENT!

Do not deal with this company unless you like to be cheated
I signed a 2 year contract with Crescent processing in April of 08 and at the time it seamed like a good deal. I have kept my end of the contract but it appears Crescent Processing dosn"t feal they need to keep there end of the contract. They have failed to keep there end of the contract from the start. Calling them is a wast of time all you get is the run around. Any one who post a positive on this company is eather a lier or is getting paid to do so. I will be cancelling there service at the end of April when the contract runs out. My advice to other venders do not deal with this company inless you like to be cheated.

I read a review tonight, and verified that I was also lied to .I was told my contract was for two years, and now found that all contracts are for four years. My business burned down on November 1st, and lost everything. I called to cancel my service, and was told I still have a contract, in which they still will charge me. They were only willing to lower my rate a small percentage. According to my bank account they have taken $1843.00 in a 3 month period, for services not even used, and a business that has burned.I'm now forced to seek legal action.

I will never work with this company simply because they continually hound us. We get calls from this company all the time asking us to try them out. No matter how nicely we ask them to stop calling, they continue. It has gotten to the point where I personally keep track of their calls, so we can actually file a harassment suit against them. BTW, we are already on that do not call list. But it doesn't do anything.

I will not recommend this company to anyone else
The sales person came in and was very up front (he was brand new) even called his boss about ALL the questions that we had. Now the company is acting underhanded and will not pay for any referral fees and tacking on additional fees that both the salesperson and ourselves were unaware of. The customer service specialist that we spoke to was very rude, even in her email to us. I will NOT recommend this company to anyone else.

Dont use them, don't work for them
I spent 3 weeks working for Crescent and I worked hard and made quite a few sales, now I wish I would have never set foot in any of those business because I have to live with the guilt of unknowingly lying to them. I walked out after I found out that my sales manager was not only lying to my customers when I put them on the phone with him, which he insisted in talking to each customer, but was miss-leading me to lie to my customers. I am a man of integrity and could not go along with it.

We are going to lose our business because of them
This is just horrible. First of all, the rep wouldnt leave us alone at first, now that we need her, we can't find her. My husband misplaced her business card. I have called crescent many times. Every time I am told the same thing...we are in Texas and don't have her information.
Long story short, we switched to go with them, it has been 13 days, 10, 000 plus to be deposited, and NOTHING. Our landlord wants her rent now! I was promised by three different employees that it would only take 3 business days after they attached info to our account. It has been 8. I called them up, and ten minutes later my husband called them up. I was told tomorrow. He was told Friday!!! Refused to let us talk to a Supervisor. And of course the number they left here for VP ?? DOES NOT GET ANSWERED! Why is this allowed on your site by this business?? It is false hope that this website really tries to take care of things. They should get on Crescent for us!! I don't know what to do???

Illegal and predatory business practices
Companies such as Crescent make the vast majority of their money by selling (actually leasing through a separate leasing company) the actual processing terminals/printers. These terminals/printers cost a company such as Crescent about $200 and they have the uneducated small business owner sign a lease (typically 48 months) that will cost them anywhere from $2400 - $3000. A sales person can make anywhere from $200 - $400 in commission for the sale. A company such as Crescent will also make additional money with numerous (usually hidden and complicated) monthly fees. There are now probably over 50 of these "merchant processing companies" preying on the small business owners of America. They all pretty much operate in the same way. They buy lists of small businesses and have commissioned telemarketers call them to set-up appointments for the commission only Outside Sales Representatives. Crescent is the first to use lap tops with a "canned" video/PowerPoint" presentation.
All of these companies have the same style operation. Very low overhead with most of their employees being 1099 independent contractors with no benefits. Most reps. last only a few weeks or months because they find the "preset appointments" or leads are poorly qualified. Some of these companies have to disclose to the customer that they have been found guilty by the FTC for illegal and predatory business practices.
