Crescent Processing Company Reviews

Horrible company, stay far away
Horrible company, stay far away. Sales rep assured us that there was no early cancellation fee, no set term of service etc. Now that we found out that we were being over charged we want to cancel and go to our local bank which has a very good processing center. So we called Crescent to cancel and they told us we had a four year contract and it will cost 495.00 for each terminal, we have two. We looked over the contract and in small print there is a de conversion fee of 495.00. It has no time limit stated. I looked de conversion up in the dictionary, there is no such word. Hopefully with 140 complaints made against this company to the BBB they will be closed down. We'll be fighting them and hopefully everyone else will to.

These people are scams
My Customer wanted to pay for her hardwood with her credit card. Because of some earlier problems getting Crescent to process my credit transactions, I called Crescen's Compliance Department and explained the circumstances of the credit transactions. After confirming the customer was present with her card and informed them of the amount she was charging, Crescent Compliance Department said they would process her card.

I swipe her card on 9/18/09, it was approved. I faxed in the orginal invoice, copy of the credit card transaction showing customer signature and had customer sign that material had been received in good condition. On 9/23/09 Crescent wanted me to have the customer sign a statement that the material was received by her and the material was correct, which I did. On 9/25/09 Crescent Processing called to inform me THEY would not approve the transaction and I was required to reverse the charges. Now my customer has my hardwood nailed to her floor and I don't have my money for my goods. Customer is very upset because she has already paid her credit card for the $6, 000 purchase. As of 9/28/09 no refund/reverse charge transaction shows up on customers online statement.

These people are scams. They hold your money for your credit transactions and will make you jump thru hoops if you are lucky enough to get them to process a transaction for you.

Failure to return funds
When I started using Crescent Processing, I was told that all Credit Card transactions would be completed and the moneys in my account in 24 hours. In truth it takes 6 days. I fired them, got out of the contract and started using my personal bank for the same service. When I broke the contract with Crescent Processing They never told me where to send the credit card machine to. I waited for a call, email or snail mail with instructions on how to give there machine back. One day they took $100 out of my account 3 times for a total of $300. I was told that they did this to "FIND OUT IF I HAD FUNDS" for the total billing of $300 on the machine (By the way only costs $50). I got ahold of JANET FULLER at the Dallas office (214-271-8079) and returned the machine to her personally. JANET handles ALL THE COMPLAINTS. She assured me that my money would be returned to mme IMMEDIATLY. 4 days go by and my money did not return. I called her up and she told me that the v ery same day I was there at her office the money was deposited in my account. She gave me batch numbers. tracking numbers and ID numbers etc and still no money. Janet LIED TO ME, she will LIE TO YOU and she is responsible for the theft of my money. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! My bank assured me that NO SUCH TRANSFER TOOK PLACE!

This company held up funds because of a transaction that "flagged thier system"
This company held up funds (still not in our account after 6 days) because of a transaction that "flagged thier system". We occasionally use our Paypal debit card to transfer funds from Paypal to our business account. They told us that was a cash advance and illegal, that I had to refund it to Paypal. We don't agree but said we would not do it again, just deposit our funds. No-they have control. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.

SCAM
I am unable to use their service because the requirements for each purchase processed is far too cumbersome (they require that I fax to them copies of the customer's PO, my SO, the invoice(s) as well as Proof of Delivery...all for a retail environment). When I complained to the customer service department, they told me that the requirements were due to the fact that the salesman had set my account up wrong and that there was no way to change it now, but that if I wanted to terminate their service it would cost me $495.00. I've reluctantly been paying the $12.50 monthly service fees and will cancel this August when my contract is up. But, now they're charging me an additional $19.08 per month for not processing any transactions with their service.

This company has so many hidden fees
This company has so many hidden fees. I have cancelled my credit card machine, and they charged me $350.00, and after the machine has been sent back to them they are still charging me a service fee, ontop of that they had a $114.00 annual service fee. I asked specifically for any fees like this and they told I would not have any to deal with and I would be able to cancel at any time without paying a fee. They lied to me and hid all in there contract which is difficult for me to understand.

Run, don't walk, away from this company
If it looks to good to be true it is...This company tells you everything you want to hear but then hides the fees in the fine print under innocent sounding names. They will charge you $50 if anything goes wrong with their equipment even if you just received it. They will charge you $98 per year that no one will discuss with you but apparently is hidden in your contract under something called a "Corporate Fee" that you are told won't apply to you. And if you get disgusted with it, they will tell you there is a $500 charge to terminate their service. Run, don't walk, away from this company.

Take money & add new fees without my knowledge
Crescent processing not make up fees and take money out of my companies account and don't think I will not noticed. I would never recommend a company that continues to take money & add new fees without my knowledge or said they gave me a 30 day notice on small print on the back of my statement in which will take money out of my account.

These people are snakes and their service sux
These people are snakes and their service sux!!!

They're trying to get us with that $350 termination fee. The contract says we need to submit documentation (non specific) signifying that our business is closed and they'll waive the fee. Now they're saying the documentation provided isn't good enough and that they need it from the County we incorporated in and it has to be notarized. We'll jump through those hoops and see what they come up with next.

Should have used PayPal!!!

hidden fees scam
This company will call small businesses on the phone and ask for an appointment. DO NOT ACCEPT! The sales person will come in and give you reasons you cant go wrong with this their machines and say it only costs $6.50 a month for debit machine or chech or credit machine and so on. So i figured what the heck. nope then came the one time $120 fee then came the monthly $20 fee for doing under $1200 sales buy there machine then comes a $98 yearly fee and a fee every time u use the machine, oh and that 6.50 turns to 8.50. so i tried to send the machine back and they said i signed a contract for four years. how do you do that over phone. and the account it was under was my wifes and she never even talked to them i did. because the sales rep said there was no other fees cancelation or otherwise. Im a small business man and most my contracts are one invoice all big letters. not 22 pages of mumbo jumbo. so anyway i cancelled my businesses bank account (which is a pain) and i sent the machine back. end of it right? nope they say that i owe them $450.00 for early cancellation fee. which wouldve been taken out of my business bank account thank goodness i closed it. Im still argueing with them on the phone to this day. this company is a major scam. be smart just go through your own bank for a machine and purchase one out right for like $250.00
