Phony Modem Rebate
I started with Cricket Wireless during a $50 modem rebate promotion. I followed the rebate to the letter, made copies and mailed it the following day. I even took it to the US Post Office so they would cancel the stamp with that day's date.

After four months I finally heard that my rebate submission was in non-compliance because it was postmarked well over a month after the final date it could be submitted.

This was just one of many problems I have had with Cricket, including: inability to set up my online account because I have a Mac and they don't support text messaging to the modem in the Mac software; continued billing of an insurance charge I have repeatedly asked to be removed; and absolutely terrible service, even though I can get all four bars. Without warning the modem will become unresponsive, sometimes disconnect, sometimes cycle endlessly.

What troubles me about the modem is that it will frequently start a simultaneous, full-bandwidth upload/download. I have a monitor showing which applications (or the system) are requesting data, and when this happens it is nothing on my system doing it. It's almost virus-like, yet I have a Mac, so clearly the modem is doing this on its own, and what is being transferred, I have no idea.

Unauthorized charges
My Cricket cell phone was stolen in a resturant in Portland, Oregon on 5/7/2009. I called Cricket to notify them of my stolen phone. I spoke with Ann from Cricket and she was very nice and helpful. She transferred me to Best Signal Insurance to receive my Claim Number. I spoke with Sharon from Best Signal. She was rude and accused me of making a claim last year which was not true. Very sarcastic not helpful at all. I do not feel confortable with doing business with Cricket any longer. I have paid my bill on time and also have paid $5.00 per month for almost a year for lost/stolen phone. Also, was informed that I have a $50 deductable to pay for new phone. I am not happy and feel I have been cheated.

REBATE
I wish I would have went on here to read about cricket broadband service... I written on here before, hoping that things have changed, but of course they haven't. Its July 2009, and I still don't have my rebate, I discontinue service with them, since it was a month- to- month service. Half of the time, I had to call in because I was not able to connect to the internet. What's the purpose of a lap top, and you can not connect right (lol). As I stated in my last comment, I HAVE changed my service, its $59.99 a month/ 2-yr contract, which I don't have a problem for paying for good service. Every time I use Sprint broadband (internet service), I connect within seconds. I learned from my cricket mistakes, and they wont get my $ a month. It's wrong to mislead people to believe that a company promises to give you a $50.00 rebate, as long as your "services" is not disconnect.. I am praying for those who think they are getting over, what goes up, must come down...

phone doesnt charge i take back to the store recived a new phone and that phone will not charge. hasnt use the phone in three days dont now what to do but return every thing and hopefully get my money back .it live its name up cricket.

I have been a CUSTOMER FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS FOR THE MOST PART OK GOOD BUT WHEN I TALK TO ONE REP. AND HE TELLS ME HE CAN HELP ME I BELIEVE HIM WELL MY BILL WENT FROM $170 TO $239 FOR THREE FHONES I THINK THERE IS A PROBLEM .

Poor customer service
This is the poorest excuse for a cell phone company ever. Their service sucks. Their customer service is a joke. Why are they all from INDIA? Why can NONE of them speak English? Even in the Cricket stores, they are all foreign. And here is my biggest bitch with them-why do they accept CASH ONLY??? Is it because if they are unexpectedly deported they can take their cash with them??? I am canceling all 4 of my lines and going to a REAL cell phone company. Do yourself a favor, STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM CRICKET AS YOU CAN. THEY SUCK.

Customer Service
The problem that I am having is; I purchased a phone for my son that is in school in Indiana and I live in Houston, TX. I wanted Cricket to put my son’s phone and my phone number on one account so that I could pay for them both at one time. That was apparently too hard for Cricket to perform the first time. Therefore, I called customer service to fix the problem and they said that I had to call back in a month to cancel the service and then put both phones on one account. I did what Cricket customer service asked me to do. The next month, my son’s phone was turn off because; they said his bill was due on a different date from mind. I told Cricket customer service that was not correct because I called your customer service to have my son’s phone put on my account to pay on the same billing day.
Cricket customer service told me that my son’s phone billing date was different from my billing date and I need to pay a $15.00 reconnection fee for my son’s phone. I asked to speak to a supervisor about the situation. I then waited on hold for about 45 minutes. The supervisor never answered the phone and the Cricket customer service representative told me that I would still have to pay the $15.00 reconnect fee. I told the Cricket customer service representative that I refuse to pay a fee for something that was not my fault. I later called Cricket that day to talk to another Cricket service representative about the situation and then she put me on hold to talk with someone else in customer service to help me. Then the person that answered the phone hanged up the phone on me. Later, someone in customer service blocked my cell phone from calling to talk to a live person in customer service with Cricket. I’ve used Cricket cell phone service for over seven years and there customer service is the worst that that I have ever experience. I guest the best thing for me to do now is switch to T-Mobile like I should have done in the first place.

phone problems
I have had cricket almost 6 yrs. I bought a razor when they came out and I loved it untill it kept going on and off by it self. So I took it back to cricket and had to pay another 85 dollars to get my insurance clame. But there wasn't any more razors in stock so they gave me a cra-zor which i thought was cool it was an upgrade but I was so wrong. I've had nothing but problems with it. I got it on Feb 13th and by Feb 18th it was messed up and I took it back to cricket and they told me because there was damage to the phone from dropping it I would have to pay another 85 dollars to get another one. I was pissed. I told them that was BS. They told me to take to this place next door and see what they say. The guy next door to the cricket store told me it was a flaw with the phone and I need another one. I took it back to cricket and told them what he said and it still cost me another 45 dollars to get another one. Cricket sucks and they don't know how to treat people and make them happy...I would not tell anyone to go get a cricket it is better to sign a contract and get great service than to go to cricket!!!
