I set up automatic debit payments for my son's cricket phone service through my credit union account. My son ported his phone number to another cellular phone service in December of 2009. I made payments for December 2009, January, February, and March of 2010 before stopping the automatic debit payments to Cricket. I went into a Cricket service center on 3/24/10 and advised the agent that I made payments for my son's Cricket cellular phone service after he terminated his service . The agent verified the ported phone number and cellular phone service cancellation dates. She confirmed that I was owed $236.84 for payments I made after service was terminated. The agent gave me a computer print out and advised me that I should recieve payment within two weeks. She advised me that if I don't receive payment to come back to the office. I returned to the Cricket retail office on three separate occasions with no success or refund. I spoke to the supervisor who sent an e-mail to the Cricket refund office in Denver. She said she does not have a telephone number and that they can only submit requests for refunds via e-mail. I search the internet and found a phone number for Cricket corporate executives in San Diego (858) 882-6000 and asked to speak with the senior vice president of customer care. The next day I received 2 calls from the corporate customer service escalation department in Denver, Colorado. I could only be forwarded to that number by the corporate office. I was assured that they would put a rush on it and I should receive payment in two weeks. I still have not received payment. When I look at all the complaints against the company it seems that a class action law suit might be a solution. Any attorneys interested in this venture may wish to gather all the complaintees together.
