Worst wireless company known to man
where do i start cricket is horrific.i purchased 3 phones in the past 9 months. each time the phone just broke anytime i would go in to the store i would feel unappreciated and talked to with no concern or nonchalant attitudes followed by rolling of the eyes funny looks or just plain sarcasm.they gave my number away twice!!and today actually my phone had water damage and i went into my local cricket store to verify my data back up feature that is included with my plan. i was assured that all my contact information would be safe if i purchased this feature . now what i just cant grasp is how in the world they can sell a product or service to you without explaining how it works. they told me today in a very nonchalant way might i add. that even though that i had purchased the feature i still didnt really have it cause i didnt manually activate the feature to my celluar device ? what in the world that sounded like a load of bull they actually rip people off!!! on top of that i did have insurance for that phone but a day late with the bill and they gave my number away.which non voided my insurance. all im saying cricket may seem cheap at first but they will definately be breaking your pockets later. over and over and over again . trust me!!! cricket is not the way to go and they dont value there customers they should be put put of bussiness they are nothing but a bunch of con artist!!!

Service is not dependable
Purchase a phone for my daughter who is away at school. I also changed providers after over ten years of service. Big mistake half the time we cannot make a call due to it saying it cannot validate our account and to call customer service. Well, how many times a day must we go through this. I should have done my homework. Lucky me and as I said my daughter away at school. So thanks for providing a important service that I can depend on...Not...I would like my money back and go back to the company we could depend on...

abysmal customer service
After my initial month of wireless broadband service I was to present a PowerPoint presentation. It turns out that the wireless service was disconnected due to "non-payment" on my account. I had never received a bill. When I contacted the store and the "customer service" center they informed me that they do not send out bills. I asked how to pay a bill that I do not receive. They said that I needed to log into www.mycricket.com to retrieve my bill. I had also been told that a bill would come in my email. I spent a fair amount of time talking to both the store location (3337 W North Ave, Chicago, IL 60647 Phone 847-315-9770) and the customer service center (which I think was in India). All they could tell me was what they cannot do. They repeated that they do not send out paper bills. When I asked how I can pay a bill that I do not receive they didnt have an answer. I also asked how I could get a receipt or proof of payment since this was a work related expense. He suggested that I go into the store monthly to pay my bill and that then I could get a paper receipt printed out. I stated that that did not seem like a good use of my time and that it wasn't something a customer should have to do. I told him that I planned to discontinue the service. By the way, at the store, the store manager was supposed to call me to give me a credit on my bill. That was over 2 months ago. Do you think he'll still call me?

This is absolutely the most abysmal customer service I have experienced in my life. Do not use Cricket Wireless.

Bad experience
Do the customer service people taking calls at the 1-800-CRICKET number really not know what they are talking about or do they intentionally try to give you the run around and 99% of the time eventually disconnect you? I am completely frustrated with them and figure I'm going to just have to cancel all 3 lines and go with Boost Mobile. Everytime I call I get either nowhere or different answers, none of which resolve my problem and each call much too time consuming. I would not only not recommend Cricket to anyone, I will probably go out of my way to DIScourage their service. In fact I will probably search someway to voice my problem/opinion as loud as I can. I paid 6 mos svc in cash in advance, was told you get free month for every months prepaid. The store I bought the 3 phones went out of business and Cricket says I have to go back there, I have a balance due. I havent gotten my free 2 months service yet. Time to write off my losses and go with someone more reputable?

Took out 3 payments instead of 1
I wish I had found this before I changed to Cricket from AT&T. I too have experienced bad reception but I sadly found out that their customer service is way worse. I just sent the following to the BBB and I hope that they improve their business practices: " ON 5/31/2011 I called a Cricket service rep at their 800 number to pay my bill of $123.97. They charged me an additional $5.00 for paying it with a live representative. I notice on 6/3 that all of the money I had on my pay card, to last me and my two daughters, until my next payday, was gone. After researching, I found out that Cricket had taken three payments out, in the amount of $128.97, instead of one, on 5/31/2011. They took out an additional, unauthorized $257.94 which basically wiped me out. I, like most people, live paycheck to paycheck. I have two daughters and a Mother I support alone so, although this may seem like very little, to me it is everything. I don’t mind going hungry but it’s the worst feeling in the universe to not be able to feed your children. I work very hard, taking nothing from the government, and I’m still trying to find enough change under the cushions for a box of cereal for my 2 year old. I called Cricket on June 3rd and spoke with a CSR who gave me a fax number of 720-374-9125 and told me the situation would be rectified in 24 hours. I faxed over my transaction statement showing where the 3 charges were taken out. I waited until June 5th then found my monies were still not replaced so I called again. This time I was spoken to so rudely and told nothing could be done and I should not have been told 24 hours. Over the next 6 days, I called every other day. I was told each time that I could not speak to a supervisor, I could not speak to the department that I faxed the statement to and that I was basically out of luck. I was spoken to very rudely. I tried to explain the importance of the situation and that I have done all that was asked of me. I just wanted someone to tell me it was at least being investigated. I then, in frustration, went online to Google and looked for the Cricket corporate office. I was shocked to see how many complaints were listed under this search. I did get a number and called – the process was basically just started over again. As I write this, I still have no resolution. My money is still missing and I have no solid information of when it will be refunded. I don’t get paid until the 15th so I just ask for prayers from anyone who reads this. I also ask that Cricket be investigated so this does not happen to anyone else."

Lost Business
I have been trying to port my land line business phone number to a Cricket cell phone since December 15, 2010. I have lost many thousands of dollars because the "tier 2" technicians can't get it straight. Terrible service and no one to complain too. I am at the end of my rope with the porting dept. Who regulates these guys.

Awful
On 2/27/11 I purchased a Cricket phone. Finally got it activated on 3/16/11 after many calls to the worst customer service center I've ever dealt with. On that same day, I tried to start my phone number porting from another company. I had to call back because the system was down. Days later the number still had not been ported. On 3/29/11 after 100's of calls & screaming at non-English speaking morons, my number was ported to a complete stranger & added to her account. I managed to get them to port my number to me which disconnected her phone. Now I cannot do anything to MY phone because it's on her account & my phone number which I've had for years, will be lost. F these people. I'm done. Do NOT use this company.

Unsafe
Ported my phone from VerizonWireless on 4/06/2011. Have problems since date of purchase with phone, service, no voice mail, text message failures, inability to make and receive calls, inability to pay bill online so service was cut off, bad voice reception, complete failure and unreliable service. Retail store manager at Pennsauken, NJ store did nothing to problem solve and was abusive to me (e.g. "...ok, then you can have a nice day!" and promptly hung up the phone on this customer). No response from online or verbal or text (any and all "service" outlets have been useless) complaints since start date. Dangerous carrier. I have asthma and I have zero phone service during flare up. Deaths will occur due to their complete negligence and zero integrity. They absolutely have to be reviewed and watched. People will die with health emergencies. I've kept complete records and screen grabs on all problems encountered with zero response by Cricket to fix any and all problems. Now I demand my money be returned. I've invested time, money, health, energy to get help and have had none. They will provide some "credit" only if I stay with them. I'm leaving this carrier/phone now. I'm the customer that wanted the little guy to succeed. This was an experience I would hope to protect other consumers from in the future.

Don't care about customers
I have been with Cricket for almost, if not 10years and they do not care about their customers PERIOD POINT BLANK. My Bill is due on the 12th of each month, on March 1, 2011 I went to a cricket store to get a new phone i knew my plan would increase with the purchase. at the time of buying the phone i paid the 15.00 tranfer fee aswell as the payment for the phone. When March 12th came i looked at my account and it showed that my bill was 74.52 for the month. i went ahead and paid the bill because i did not want my phone to be disconneted. 2 days later i called customer service to discuss the bill and was told it does show i paid too much and i would be credited the following month. April comes and still no credit. Called customer service again and was told they can not credit my account now because the billing cycle was already rolled out and it would be credited for May. So NOW i look at my account and it is still NOT credited. i called the customer service line AGAIN and was told they see where i am suppose to get a credit but they can only issue a 5.00 credit over the phone. i asked to speak to a superviser and was told none where available. I was hung up on twice, I called back and was placed on hold for 30mins. When i asked for the corperate office number the rep told me they did not have one. i looked on the internet and found the corp number and When i called them the guy name ROBERT told me I was charged more because I use the new phone for 12 days and I was pro-rated for 12 days but I was also charged for the entire month for my old phone that I had for 22 day. I told him if thats the case my old bill should have been pro-rated for 22 days that the phone was used. He told me that would not happen. When asked to speak to a sup he also told me that no supervisor was there. This is unbelieveable!!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THERE CUSTOMERS WHAT SO EVER!!!... Been with them 10 years and they could careless
