Concur...Cricket Customer Svc SUCKS! May 5, 2009
Customer Service Lied
Is cricket not pre-paid? With NO contract, Right? So what's up with the payment date and fees to re-establish service. AND when you do pay all these fees you get pro-rated after the fact.
I have had service with them for 3+ yrs.
I am finally fed up with their customer service.
5/1/09- I asked to remove a phone line from my account which had two. In short the wrong number was disconnected and my phone was off. I tried to call *611 from the phone for customer service but got automated information. I got thru from another person's cricket phone. I thought my situation was resolved.
5/2/09 - Payment was due so I tried to pay via Zap Link but decided not to because it showed bill reflecting (2) lines...tried call customer service from pay phone but had no luck. Got automated response again. Again, decided to wait till Monday AM.
5/4/09- My phone ended up suspended..."NO Service"...so I paid $60.00 to cover one line even though "amount due" online and Zap Link still reflected (2) lines. Waited (30) mins for service to restore but that was not the case. Call customer service's reason was that my payment was pending and should be posted by within 24 hrs. I kept checking for my service to be restored but did not happen.
5/5/09-Today I have made (5) attempts to contact customer service via land lines but did not get thru til 4pm from a pay phone. I was routed to 'pre=pay' department informing me of my bal due of $53.00 I told them I refused to pay for more than one line and he verified that one line was disconnected. But because the "lead rep" did not indicate removed line and "non billing" of removed line. I still have to pay for the line removed from my account. He then said he was applying a bridge plan for 7 days so I will have time to contact a lead rep to correct my situation.
In the end I still have no service as of now 6:48pm MST.

Over Charged
I have had cricket wireless service for 4-5 months now, and every time i go in I pay an average of 20 dollars over my agreed amount. I am getting charged for services i never asked for, i never ordered, and was automatically signed up for a number of things i didn't even know i was paying for. This is BULL!

Poor Customer Service
Cricket Wireless should be renamed Cricket Useless, This compant must not have protocol or work proceedures, First i added a line then wanted it disconnected so we called *611 to have it disconnected and they said it was paid untill the 19th and they would discontinue service on the 19th and would only be charged for the original phone i had to began with, So to ensure i called on the 13th and they said they had no record of a disconnect recorded, So they assured me this would be taken of, I even sent a note with the bill, Well guess what the bill came in and they still had us billed for both phones even though the other one was cut off on the 19th, So i again called there *611 customer service and asked to speak to a supervisor, of course they said oh so sorry this happened i will make sure it is fixed, Well today 04/24/09 the bill came in and these morons still are billing us for the 2 phones even though they cut the one off on the 19th along with numerous calls and complaints.

Theft by debit and No Broadband !!!!
I went into a cricket wireless store about 3 weeks ago and bought their $40 dollar a month broadband wireless internet and the sales guy told me to put the purchase amount as a DEBIT on my bank credit card. When I got home I already had the service before so I loaded the disk and installed the software...NO INTERNET. So I called 1-800-cricket and I got lie after lie about hitting #2 to get broadband. Actually #2 was an option for old customers to reactivate their service. After a 2 hour straight back and forth run a round I got a rep whi I tolsd what happened and she promised to give me the number and guess what number she gave me. A 800 number to a deaf line. But here is the worst part. My bank WELLS FARGO put a dispute for the $70 charge and they said since it was a debit and not a credit it fell under DEBIT rules for banking. So they denied the first claim because I apparently didnt go back to follow up with the store (hell i was pissed after 2 hours of ying yang). So I went back to the store and the ghetto hispanic guy who stole my money said go to another store. I was like hell, no. So I called WELLS FARGO and told them I tried to get my money back from the store and they took another claim (to their specifications for filing) and they denied me with a letter saying there was nothing wrong with the purchase. EXCUSE ME!!! but what part of Did not get service, money was stolen did you not get???? Cricket trains their employees to take a debit instead of a credit so they can steal your money and they know banks like WELLS FARGO will side with them. Thats why he insisted on the debit. Cricket wireless stole my $70 and WELLS FARGO let them do it. So I refused to pay WF some loans I owe them so they can see what it feels like to be a victim of theft...haha!!!

Bad Business Ethics
I made changes to lower my account bill because $243.17 seems crazy to me. So the cricket representitive tells me what to pay. $181.52
So I did on March 26th early by the way was not due until April 12th
My services were shut off on the April13th
mabye 12th unsure about that, did not try use it til 13th April

The billing computer or whatever does that messed up. I was told.
So I called customer service who told me to pay a different amount, so I did.
Then I later get disconnected. I email cricket for help, they say go to local office.
I do, then I am told that they will not refund my money or give me services and that this is there policy!
Because they are no refunds on prepaid services.
So I just unknowingly gave them $181.52 wow how nice of me . And I had their broadband and 3 cell phones they just shut of. I was using the net for printing my homeschool papers.

Anyway apparantly the computer did not understand a payment I had made and put it on something else. Isn't that not my fault?

Give me my money or give me some services but why charge me recconect fees for their errors.

Also they did take off the services I requested but not the prices/amounts. So bill still high, but wait they charged me $15 dollars for each change that did occur on two lines.
so theirs an extra $30 dollars.

Fine but they need to remove the incorrect charges but did not. So they told me I need to pay $106.00 to turn it back on for past due amounts WTF i paid 181.52
So the total would be
$287.52
wow thats not cheaper.
Before I leave he says to me you need to pay your bill on
time?

It's like it was for effect for the other customers that where there.

wow it shocked me I just left

broadband & bad cust servce
1. they say you can pay your bill online, but cant. then your charged $3 to pay your bill thru cust service. 2. you get rolled around thru the automated service when trying to reach cust service. i complianed an entire weekend & it did no good. I am paying for 2 cell phones and broadband sefvice. 3. when you purchase the broadband service you are supposed to qualify for a $50 mail-in-rebate. i mailed mine in 3 weeks ago & it still is not showing up on line, nor does cust service have a record of it being sent in. I have had it!

Billing
I have been completly screwed by Cricket. First off I brought 2 ported numbers over to cricket. One worked the other didn't in the begining, for about a week. I still got stuck with the bill for the second phone for the week of not having a 2nd cell phone. Then I got there new wireless internet. Had all kinds of problems including "Can't connect issues." I was told by customer *cough* care that all i had to do was call back when i wanted to cancel the 2nd "line" . so I did, about 2 days before the next bill was due. I went to a local cricket store 2 days later, to find the wireless internet was still on my bill. They said I would have to call customer service to take it off. So i did, then i got the run around from because my 2nd line wasn't a cell phone, it was a wireless internet card. So i called their wireless internet department to find that the number assigned to the wireless internet card was no longer valid and I couldn't get ahold of anyone because of it. So after about 5-7 days of aggrivation and 10 calls minium each day I went back down to where I bought the damn card and they couldn't do anything about it. They had to reach their "district guy". All i was asking for was a 20.00 credit, i got conflicting storys from several customer support members. Then the next month came along and I went to pay the bill, and the damn internet card was still on my damn bill. ?!?!?!?!? wtf, I had some choice words for cricket. So I then went to the "CORPRATE STORE. NO problems what so ever. I walked out with a smile on my face. I thought all my problems are solved. My next bill was due on a saturday. I forgot about it untill late saturday night. No store in my entire tri-state area is open past 7pm. And not a one is open on sunday. So I called customer *cough* Care and they said no problem, you can pay your bill tomorrow?!?!?!?! Say what!!! You aren't open on sunday. How bout monday. "OHH sure, can pay on monday?" Yes" "by 6pm." "YES"(6pm est i thought) Time is irrelevent, i paid my bill at 4:38pm. "Since you are being set up for bridge payment you only have to pay 17.00 to keep your services active." I thought to my self "HOW NICE"(it reminded me of a joke i heard years ago) So I figured since the economy is in the crapper, why not pay a lesser amount. So i went and paid 25.84 on my bill, figuring that they might have a fee. Sure enuf 3 bux when i got my receipt. I went about my day, and tonight... i couldnt make a phone call. So i called back Cricket, told them of all their misdoings, I feel I am being lied to all the time by this so called Cell phone company. So the store I paid at either did not post it to the account or Cricket lied to me about a so called "BRIDGE PAYMENT". I got one customer support lady named Robin, she said to fax her in the receipt and she would take care of it for me. Is their job to lie to people and get them off the phone???? Don't worry about the bridge payment she can take care of it and give me a 24 hour extension. Either way, I am looking into other Cellphone companys as we speak. As this is the last straw for me!!! I can't beleive I have been a customer of theirs for almost a year and this is the way they treat customers. Its because of people like me that people like them have jobs. I have tried to be Patient with these people that doesn't work. I have tried threating them with "state attorney generals office" and "District" to have them shut down and loose their jobs, none of it matters to them.

Ever been completely SCREWED by Cricket? Do you call and call but can't get a live person on the phone who knows what they are doing and does what they say they will do? Ever get looped around their automated system and can't get a supervisor or the manager's name?

Well I have done the research for you!!!

I just got off of the phone with their parent company and here is what you need to solve your problem:

Leap Wireless 1-858-882-6000. Keep trying if you get voicemail. Don't leave a message. Someone will eventually answer if you keep calling. It is a toll free number. Tell them you want to escalate a complaint against Cricket. The person answering will ask you how you got the number. Cricket's own website advises that Leap is their parent company. I Googled Leap and got the number.

Ask for the Escalations Department and tell them your problem. If you want to send something in writing, the Escalations Department fax number is 1-720-374-9125.

Cricket's Legal Department number is: 1-858-882-9301.
The address of the Legal Department is: 10307 Pacific Center Court, San Diego, CA 92121

RIP_OFF
I have a defect phone- i just bought 2 months ago. I pay $5 a month handset protection. The company web-site list my specific phone as having defects and to bring it to the store to be fixed. I brought it to two different stores. None of them knew about the problem listed on their own website- http://www.mycricket.com/cricketsupport/faqs/details?id=664&fromsearch=0 THEN have the nerve to tell me I have to pay $35 to have it fixed????? WTF

Awful company
I have been hit with reactivation fees before by surprise because payment was not received after they automatically turn off our service unnoticed. Cricket has the nasty habit of turning off customers phone without immediate notice, then charging a 15.00 fee a month later for turning it back on, when the customer is unaware that there service was suspended in the first place.

Me and my spouse have had this problem with Cricket and we are SICK of it! Cricket also assesses other fees for paying at a store or kiosks (3.00 convenience fee + 3.00 service fee). These fees are fraudulent to customers since they are well hidden and charged when most vulnerable to subscribers.

Speaking of that customer service is HORRIBLE as well.
