Cricket Wireless is not worth wasting your time and money on
Cricket Wireless is NOT WORTH WASTING YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON. The broadband speed not only sucks bg time but their customer service is CRAP.

From day one of purchasing a broadband card and service it didn't work right and all the store we purchased it from would do was tell us to call technical support or go to a corporate store. All technical support would tell us was that they had done everything the could and that we needed to take it back to the store we got it from . The store we got it from wouldn't do anything and said we had to take it to the corporate store. The corporate store said they couldn't do anything because none of the 3 calls we had made to tech support had been documented on our account and that we had to return the device to the store it was purhased from. All we got was the run around.

We did cancel the service after a week of nothing but issues and nothing being resolved. Now we are out the activaion fee and the $111 we paid for the modem. Calls to the 800# got us nowhere. CRICKET SUCKS

By the way, we went to Clear Wreless and the service is great and we have no issues with the modem at all.

Customer Service
I am so frustrated right now with cricket. Let me first start by saying if you're going to hire someone to speak to the public especially over the phone, they need to be able to speak clearly!!! Second, their automated system is horrible people need to be able to reach a real customer sevice rep not an computer all the time. The computer system is of no help when you have a detailed question. Nobody wants to have to drive to a store to speak to someone when they have the option of using the cell phone option!!! NOTE TO CRICKET GET RID OF YOUR AUTOMATED SERVICE AND GET REAL CSR"S!!!

Stay far away from them
Signal comes in and out, sucker you with rebates than string you along for at least 45 days to qualify for the rebates an computer modem service is the worst its hit and miss sometimes I can log on sometimes I cant, stay away from them, pay a little more and get much better service Customer Service is in India and with poor service I get cut off before problem is resolved Modem and phones have different refund policies be careful.

Poor Customer Service and Product Reliability
I began my cricket internet service in September of 09. At first the service was decent at my house, better than dial up. It has gone down to less than dial up speeds if that is possible. I basically have no internet ability with their service.

I have yet to receive my mail in rebate back yet. They seem to have lost it and cannot send another out until the first is located. Apparently this is taking them a while.

The new update came across for cricket two weeks ago, I downloaded it onto a new laptop and it immediately blue-screened. Go figure, I take it to the tech guys at best buy. It was the new update from cricket that caused the software issue. I talk to cricket technical support which come to find out is their customer service department. I got a guy who could barely speak English, I asked for an English speaking tech support person since I could not understand but every 5th word. He couldn't transfer me or give me a number to a U.S. based call center.

I pushed through with him just to find out that Cricket has no tech support but customer support people reading possible solutions to issues from a computer screen. He was of no help, I asked for a manager, he said he was the manager, I asked for his manager, he said his manager was out. I asked when I could call back to speak with him, he said he could not give out that information. It continued on like this from that point, I would ask a simple question and he would tell me that he could not give out the information. I asked for some type of compensation or credit to my account since this issue was created by cricket, he said that cricket did not create issues for peoples computers and would have to end the phone call since their was nothing he could do for me. I told him that it was a damn shame to be treated like this by customer service/tech support. He said he was ending the call due to foul language.

Nice job Cricket, your really setting the bar high here.

I called back today to try and resolve the issue with my all of a sudden poor internet speeds. My solution to the problem was for them to redirect their towers back towards my house. Their solution was for me to get up, walk around the house with my computer until I found a better connection or to set closer to a window.

This is kind of hard when you work from a desk.

I have had cricket service for over 6 years and had very few problems until the last year when they outsourced their customer service. I called to change my service plan and after basically being harassed by the condescending person on the other side of the world I asked to speak to a manger and was put on hold for over 30 min. I called back and another condescending person made excuse after excuse as to why one person gave me one price and the other person gave me another price at $10.00 more per month. Today I called again to change my plan since the first 2 people couldn't seem to make it happen and when clarifying my next bill she said she couldn't tell me what it would be but I had to pay it by midnight... WHAT?!?!?! I will pay my bill as long as you can tell me how much I need to pay, again a condescending person says "Ma'am I am telling you I don't know, but you need to pay by midnight or your service will be shut off" Way to go Cricket you are losing a customer of 6 years who at one point spoke highly of you when everyone else warned me. I looked all over their website for a corporate contact number and they must be hiding because there isn't one ANYWHERE!! I liked Cricket's pricing but I am tempted to pay more just to speak to someone that is consistent.

Ok what is with the math at the bottom of this to ensure we ae human???? never met a dog that could type.

Charged for service not provided
Dec 23, 2009 I bought my son a new cell phone and I added the Handset Protection Plan. He lost it Dec 31st 2009. We went in 3 weeks later to get a new one (I thought we would find it but it ends up that it had been stolen and someone was using it!!) .

In February, I received a letter from Cricket canceling the Handset Protection Plan on that phone effective Dec 31, 2009. It said I was ineligible since I had used it twice in a year.

I called customer service about the letter and asked if they were going to pro-rate the charge back to Dec 31 and give me a credit. She said yes. A couple months went buy and I didn't receive the credit, not only that, my bill went up. They had added the Handset Protection Plan back on to that phone without my permission! I called again, went over the billing and overcharge, plus the unauthorized change. I was supposed to get a call back within 48 hours. That didn't happen.

In addition to that, the "new" phone they provided, went bad within 3 weeks, some kind of charging issue where he could only use the phone if it was plugged in and charging. As soon as you unplugged it, it went dead. They told me this was a common problem with these phones and wanted me to pay $50.00 FOR THEM TO FIX IT!!! I had already paid them $50 (for the replacement) on a phone that, when I bought it, was $150.00, and less then a month later, they were selling the SAME PHONE for $69.00. If you do the math, you can see, that even with the insurace, I paid over twice what the phone was now worth and they wanted additional $$. In the end, my son went to the cricket office in Clackamas (I avoid going there at all cost since it's almost always an hour wait!!) and the manager worked out a deal with him that everyone was happy with.

I have called MULTIPLE times about the billing issue. I ask for a superviser and they won't give me one. I am required to go over THE SAME INFORMATION again and again, every call. Each time, I get the assurance that someone will call me back. It's now May 23. STILL NO CALL. I have called repeatedly over the last two weeks at different times of the day and night and am not able to get through. They say all their representatives are busy and I get put in a loop.

I sent them an email today, asking them to call me regarding this billing problem, though I doubt very much that it will do any good.

Here's the billings where they overcharged me:

January STATEMENT:

CHANGE SERVICE PRORATE FROM 12/23/09-02/17/10 9.10
*should be prorated & a credit should be issued in the amount of $8.94

MONTHLY CHARGE 02/18-03/17 HANDSET PROTECTION 4.95

February STATEMENT: no problems. Bill was correct

March STATEMENT:

CHANGE SERVICE PRORATE FROM 03/11/10-04/17/10 6.19 (I didn't change or add any services, this must be for the Handset Protection and if you look at the dates they charged me, they match)

MONTHLY CHARGE 04/18-05/17 HANDSET PROTECTION 4.95

TOTAL AMOUNT OVERCHARGED: $25.03

No other billing problems since then. They have not continued to charge me for the Handset Protection, but they also have not credited my account for the overcharges.

I have had cricket for several years and as long as I don't have any issues where I have to contact their Customer Service Department, I've been pretty happy with them. Their prices for the services provided are very good, especially when you have kids. However, I can literally feel my blood pressure rising when I have an issue and have to call Customer Service.

Another problem is that I can't understand their accent. I have to repeatedly ask them what they said, and let them know that I couldn't understand them. OVER and OVER, which just makes the problem even worse.

I feel like i have been robbed by cricket of my hard earned money
I hate cricket wireless, i paid my bill on saturday and my service has been suspended 3 times, they say i have not paid my bill, they corrected the problem oh but my service is suspended again and i cannot get through to customer service.i have paid my bill so i feel like i have been robbed by cricket of my hard earned money.

They are simply stealing my money
Cher did say it best when it comes to this hot mess parading as a professional company. I don't even live where I could get their service and yet they hit up my bank not one not two but three times same day and say it is "someone that stole my credit card" interesting since I never lost my card! Sick nut bags only called me back to say they were gonna get me fired from a job I don't even have for leaving messages on their president's direct line that since they have no problem stealing from me maybe they would like to return my call. Google their Board of directors and give them a heads up don't think they want to be associated with these "people". Places to file complaints that will be heard and something done FBI, FCC, FTC, DOL(they are a federal contractor), Consumer Protection Department/agency in your state and in California where they are headquartered.

overcharge
I have had numerous charges that i have had to pay for reasons i never seem to get answers for. The girls that work in your Selma store are thee most irritating and non people persons i have ever seen in a business. I would be ashamed. I went in there on 4-23-10 to pay my bill which should have been around 90.00. But of course not! it was 122.00! For what i asked; for reconnect fees for last month! I about lost my mind needless to say. What in the world ?!!! Would SOMEBODY PLEASE look at my account as this is the last time for cricket. It doesnt seem that the customers are your first priority . thank god there is other companies! I expect to hear from you with information about my refund. my account #49032018905 Thank You

I paid a bridgepay extension and my service was still suspended (this is bullshit cricket). I work for FedEx and can easily get better service along with better customer appreciation from Verizon, alongside a deep discounts.
