Lack of Service
Their idea of Cross Country Home Warranty(CCHW) service is take your money upfront and make you work for everything when you need their service! I called for service on our Heating System on Monday Dec. 27th at 5:43PM PST, at that time we received a Claim # and a Phone # of one of their independent contractors, California Express (CE). We called the number to only to be told, by CE, that we had to call back at in the am the following morning to make an appointment for a service call. Tuesday morning we called promptly at 8:30 am to be told the Work Order # was not received by CE, from CCHW for CE to confirmed and was told to call back again at 11:00am, which we did again only to be told the same story. We then call CCHW again who told us they would fax over the work order again. Call the CE only to be told the same story again for the third time. Finally at 2:20pm the CE said they would be at our home on Wednesday between 8am and 12 noon. I took Wednesday morning off from work. At 10am on Wednesday I call to confirm they would be here before noon, which CE did! No one show up by noon so I call CE back at noon and CE called their tech but the phone call was not answered. I called again at 1:14PM to be told that they would call me back to inform me when I could expect the tech to arrive. NO CALL BACK! I called CE again at 2:59PM and now they told me that we would not see the tech today and they where going to call CCHW to reschedule another firm. I called CCHW to complain but only got lip service. We where told too bad and that we will now have to wait until tomorrow for CE to be here again between 8am and Noon on Thursday! I also spoke to Kim the assistant to President of CCHW who also told us we had to wait again. I felt sorry for the girl at CE who took my calls because she was told nothing also by her firm.
