A kid claiming to be named Dannun Neller came to my door and sold me a magazine subscription on 6/13/09. He said he was trying to earn points to go to a trip in St. Thomas.
He was witty and very convincing. I don't usually fall for these things or buy anything from anyone who comes to my door, but for whatever reason, I did this time.
DON'T BUY MAGAZINES FROM ANYONE CLAIMING TO BE FROM CRS, INC. (CROSSROADS, INC.)
The forms look very official. It asks for name, address, date of birth (which makes me wonder...). However, it only lists an address (in Aubrey, TX) and no phone. He wrote in a phone number and said I could call to make sure they were legit (because I said I was suspicious).
When I called the number he supplied on the form, I reached an individual who said she was not, in any way, connected with an organization called CRS.
I was duped. Just making people aware.
