On May 13th we made reservations at the Crustacean in S.F., as we had a good friends from Beijing visiting. WE were there a year ago and had good memories of our visit and the food. This time our table was much too small for seven, so we had to change to another table. Than our server talked us into ordering something different from what we had in mind, two special entrees, which were no good at all. The main course, the crabs were the worst we had in memory, cooked much too long prior to serving, soggy, full of oil etc etc, the toasted bread, old terrible, the noodles cold and soggy, the suggested wine overpriced and really not good tasting. The price $ 639.00.
We don't mind the expense, but if we spend that kind of money, we expect the staff to be friendly and the food superb. The only ones to care were the people, which exchanged the plates etc.
