Went to DMV to renew registration I was late due to being out of work and I needed time to raise the money for taxes and registration.
My registration was due to expire on 12-4-2004 and I went to DMV on 12-2-2004.
I was told that I needed to have an emissions test done before I could get my registration done.
I was never notified that this was the case and I did not even know that the emissions testing was back in effect.
I went home and called for an appointment for a emissions test at Suburban Tire in Enfield. My appointment was scheduled for Saturday.
When I arrived at the appointment I was told that the emissions machine was down and the test could not be performed.
I will now have to get a Temporary Registration at the cost of $20.00 for 10 days and then try to reschedule someplace else.
This is outrageous. The time spent the money spent running around and the aggravation the waiting at every step.
If this program is in effect then why was I not notified that I needed this before my registration could be renewed!!
If this program is ready to use then why was the machine down???
Why should the people of CT. suffer with a program that was doomed from the start and why shouldn't the people responsible for this program be held accountable for the lost money and the torture of people of the state.??
