Cultural Care Au Pair Reviews

Childcare
This company "Cultural Care Au Pair" are nothing but criminals. They fool both the aupairs they recruit along with the host family's they find as well.

For the Aupairs they recruit, they will recruit anybody and I do mean anybody. They tell them that it will be a cultural exchange with American families and they get to travel America. They describe it to them as a vacation with very little or easy work for them. Bottom line, these aupairs gain no cultural experience whatsoever. The only thing they gain is how to change diapers and how to become a maid or slave. These aupairs are promised one thing and are given the shaft when they get to the homes of the host family that they are assign too. And if a problem arrises for them, they have no help from the LCC (the point of contact for the company) and are threaten by them to keep their mouths shut.

For the host family, they receive an aupair who has NO experience rasing kids, cannot drive a car, cannot clean, and cannot cook a simply meal for the kids. They don't even know how to change a diaper until they are shown in the 4 day training in New York. Once the aupair arrives at the host families house and they receive their $7, 000 check, that's it! You will never hear from these people ever again if you need help from them or need to switch or get rid of your aupair if a problem arrises. They are crooks and perfrom a bait and switch with these aupairs. Even if your experience is so bad with them as far as your aupair and you decide you want out of the program even if it's just been 24hours, you will by no circumstances ever get a refund.

Stay away from this company. They take your money and give you someone who doesn't have a clue what is going on at all!

Cultural Care doesn't care about you
I am a mother of a one year-old baby girl. I am heartbroken and embarrassed. I am sour and furious.

My one year-old baby girl was neglected and emotionally abused by the au pair that Cultural Care provided me with.

At the time of presenting this candidate, Cultural Care didn’t provide me with a full background disclosure and previous families contact information. I asked for it and I was told she had only been with one family. Knowing that we would be her 5th host family in a less than 10-month period would made me decide to pass on this candidate. But this information was hidden from me. Cultural Care screening process has the lowest standard, the way they operate is unethical and unresponsive.

They adamantly refuse to provide me with evidence that this au pair is no longer part of the program, and that she has left the country. As far as I know she could be placed right now with another host family that soon will learn their children aren’t the same. Even more, she can be an illegal alien.

Spare yourself, and if you have a bad experience with Cultural Care, post it everywhere and complain to the state agency that regulates them in your state.

Awful experience
This agency is a sham operation. They specialize in trafficking young international women as au pairs and placing them in U.S. homes for childcare. They are not trained or experienced to do so. Their applications are falsified and references are from family members, not real childcare refs. They charge large amounts of money to the host family and the au pair for this "service". Once the au pair arrives in the family's home, the agency "goes dark" when you contact them about a problem. You won't get a call or helpful response from the local personnel, Boston office, etc. They put children at risk of neglectful childcare, the au pairs in inappropriate situations with minimal English and the family's are left to pay the high price of no service when it all goes wrong. This agency only responds when a State Dept rule is broken or a lawsuit is filed. They should be shut down. They are the same agency that placed Louise Woodward, the Boston au pair, on trial for shaking an infant who died in her care. They changed their name after this court case from EF Educ to Cultural Care Au Pair.
