This is the third time, Current "automatically" started charging my credit card $14.95 a month for a membership in Current Rewards, apparantly some company with a call center in Massachusetts.
I have received nothing telling me I was a member or anything about any membership privileges. Its a complete ripoff, scam, flat out theft. Yes they will cancel but no refunds. This time they owe me money dating to Feb, 2010.
Looking back, they did this to me about 4 years ago and I stopped it and got 3 months refunded. the charges started appearing a year later, I stopped them again. Apparently without any purchase, they started the membership ripoff again without any contact from me.
My credit card company did call and stop the membership but will not in any way contest the remainder of the charges. Calling Current Rewards is useless, cannot speak to any supervisors.
Calling Current, the catalog company, say they have nothing to do with the rewards company. and will disconnect your call.
My intentions are to contact each of the corporate officers of Current in Colorado Springs to demand a complete refund. In the mean time I will file a complaint with my state attorney general, consumer affairs decision.
