dollar general is one of my fav. stores.I shop at our local store very frequently. I recently purchased curtains, and seasonal decorations.A few days later I visit to make purchase of cleaning and pet food supplies, and as always I go to the clearance aisle just to see whats newand to my surprise was curtains on three shelves with the advertising of 50% off.I and another customer were excited to see this and both were making our selections, I thought it was to good to be true but the sign was there and I thought I could change out more in my home and get my kids some for their new home.well they rang up reg. price and when i brought this to their attention they blew me off.I told them I understood that it was a mistake that whoever stocked them there made mistake but should probly get it taken care of cause they should have to sell them at their in store advertisement of 50%.To my surprise again I went back a few days later and they are still there with the 50% ad. and still refuse to sell at that price.I know people make mistakes, especially if new employees dont realize what they have done but when managers and employees attention have been brought to the matter and still nothing somehting is not right.Times are hard as you know and everyone looks for a bargain, and when its right there in black and white and the consumer is still refused recognition and made to feel stupid is not good business practice for a comunity or any where for that fact.All it takes is one or two people to talk of such factors and put a bad name out for a bussiness.Dont get me wrong I love my dollar store shopping but with sales like that I can travel 20 miles to nearest walmart and save more money but I would rater keep my money in our small town community.
