My wife joined Curves in Nov of 2008 with the good intentions of losing weight and excercising with their equipment. I allowed the automatic deduction /draft of monthly memebership fees, (HUGE MISTAKE), a year later she did not want to go anymore, bought her own workout equipment for the house. I was reviewing my check book in March and realized I was still being hit for monthly membership fees. I called to cancel and the clerk took my info down and indicated a letter was required and could be faxed, I did just that in 5 minutes..fax machine on thier end was busy for 20 minutes...HUM!! I called back and they said sorry it was tied up...I got through about ten minutes after that, it was 3/17/2010 they said too bad about March, I said no problem. Today is 5/18 and threy have hit me twice since then.I called and got the MANAGER/OWNER RHONDA NELSON, she acknowledged my call of 3/17 and wanting to cancel but said they never got the fax, she had the log on the call in 10 seconds flat, but never called us? I asked if she logged all visitors in the building and she confirmed it, and acknowledged my wife had not been in the facility for over 6 months!!! Rhonda refused to refund me just 2 months of fees after repeated attempts to recoup the $$. Finally I faxed a lenghty letter indicating I would contact the attorney general, curves HQ. and others and internet reviews and she said One month back...These people are out and out CROOKS!!! THEY SHOULD GET IN LINE WITH LOAN SHARKS, PAWN SHOPS, TITLE LOAN COMPANIES, ALL LEEACHING OFF GOOD WORKING MEMBERS OF SOCIETY...NEVER EVER USE THESE PEOPLE!!!
