I contacted Mr. Byers by phone from his website ad in January 12, 2010 to have him make 2 custom flags for our company. He quoted a very fair price, requested payment up front and promised the order would be complete and shipped in approximately 2 weeks. We were not in an immediate hurry for the flags but I mentioned if we liked them we might be ordering more. He seemed very excited about doing the work. Since he requested payment in advance, I requested an invoice per our company policy; he emailed me one and I was able to get the check issued and mailed to him. Before I actually mailed the check, Mr. Byers phoned me to ask me to send the check to a different address than was on his website as he planned to be working from a different site for a few weeks.
After one month, on February 19, 2010, I emailed Mr. Byers to find out the status of my order. I received no response. Our check in the meantime, had been cashed and cleared the bank. I also phoned Mr. Byers at this approximate time to try to reach him. I received his voicemail and left a message to which I received no response.
By the time I phoned him again on March 31, to check the status, I was very frustrated that I'd received no word from Mr. Byers. I again reached his voicemail, which clearly states it is the correct party I'm trying to call, I left a more harsh message stating I now needed my order within one week or I wanted my money back.
Still no contact from Mr. Byers.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PERSON, IF THEY ARE EVEN IN BUSINESS AT ALL.
