CANCEL YOUR CREDIT CARDS. THEY ARE TRYING TO TAKE A LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY FROM ME!
Whilst searching for a driver (for a wireless dongle to
work with Vista) I found a site offering such software
downloads, but I had to pay a small fee ($4.87) to join,
for a 3 day trial. As I was having difficulty finding this
driver I thought I would take this option as it seemed a
cheap albeit not free way of solving my problem.
Subsequently, I've found this dongle isn't even compatible
with Vista, and so the availability of this software was in hindsight, clearly a LIE.
However, being ignorant of this I persevered. Once I had
managed to pay with my debit card for the 3 day trial (I
think with a little difficulty and confusion) I was
suddenly bombarded with a glut of porn sites. This wasn't
at all what I was searching for, and this is when I became
uneasy about what I'd just signed up for.
On checking my bank account recently, I find that a
company under the name of www.billing24-7.com have charged me in excess of £60 Sterling, around US$100. They have
taken a duplicate payment of £28.66 (twice).
THEY ARE NOW TRYING TO TAKE ABOUT £450. I HAVE CANCELED MY CARD AND THE BANK IS REPORTING THEM, AND I CAN CLAIM THESE LATER ILLEGAL DEBITS! (From my bank, not them so far)
At the time I found this site and rang the number provided in the States, 1- 877 848 1831. I can't talk to a rep as there is 'unusual demand'. I managed, by using my debit card details offered in OPTION 2 on that number, to find what I had signed up for, to cancel some of these unwanted 'subscriptions'.CLEARLY THEY ARE STILL TRYING TO TAKE FUNDS. IT IS ALL A COMPLETE SCAM.
Incidentally, both the sites of www.billing24-7.com &
www.customersupporthelp.com don't seem to be possible to
find today. Have they been closed, or moved on in another guise?
IT SEEMS THEY ARE GOING BY SEVERAL DIFFERENT
NAMES:-
www.billing24-7.com
www.customersupporthelp.com
www.helpfulfoks.com
www.megadownloadpass.com
www.downloadpass.com (I think)
and there are others. I have seen someones complaint on this thread offer a name and business address in Canada. I will call the authorities in this jurisdiction. What other
recourse is there, anybody?
