Misfilled prescription
I have had multiple problems with this store and have complained to the regional manager before in regard to misfilled prescriptions, missing prescriptions. On November 18, 2008 the store labeled the bottle as containing 60 tablets - which is what the prescription called for. The bottle contained only 30. Plus, at the time of pickup, I had someone else pick them up for me because I was disabled, I had a total of four to pickup and the counter person was told I had four - there were three bagged together and one by itself. The pickup person was given only the three and the fourth never even looked for. I had to return (using a walker) to get the fourth item and to get my prescription of what was supposed to be 60 pills refilled properly.
In addition, the store was extemly cluttered and not fit for someone in a walker to be in.
The difference between 60 pills and 30 is obvious. This is not an isolated event. What can be done to clean up CVS's act? How do we know their actions haven't resulted in a wrongful death situation? Wrong prescription or wrong dose has happened to me also and is documented. Sloppy - to the point of needing law enforcement here.

wrong medication
The doctor prescribed Promethazine-Codeine Syrup. I was given simple Promethazine Syrup.
I couldn't understand why the cough syrup was not effective until I looked at the label and realized it did not read "Codeine". When I called they were very apologetic and asked me to bring in the bottle so they could correct the mistake.
My question is "What if they had given me something I was allergic to?" I'd sure like to see some sort of double- or triple- check done on these medications.

Over charged ?
On October 23rd, I was in CVS for a prescription to be filled. I also bought other items along with prescription. Well, I received a call from CVS this past weekend, November 1st. I was told that I didn't pay for the prescription, $10.00, and that I needed to come in a pay for it. Sure, I will pay what I owe but the problem is, I don't have my receit, so who knows, maybe I did pay. They do not have a copy of my reciet, only that the item wasn't scan. I went in tonight, 11.4.08, and paid it. I spoke to the pharmacist, Julie MCQuaide. She wasn't very nice. I tried to have her see what I saw. She said, if I had my reciet, she wouldn't have a problem reviewing it. I paid it but here is what bothers me. If Walmart made the mistake, they wouldn't call the person and tell them to come back in to pay it, (one week later). CVS made the mistake, not me. Now, I had to use my time and my gas to correct their mistake. It is just wrong.

Linsay
Linsay may have had a bad day but there is no excuse for this teenager to be so rude. All of the employees working in the pharmacy have been so very nice and patient, (especially with the impatient customers they have to deal with!) This is one employee who will surely be getting complaints in the future.

Prescriptions
A week ago I had the Drs. Office call in prescriptions for my fathers meds knowing that he had only a weeks supply left. When my brother went to pick them up he was told that prior authorization was needed. When I called the Pharmacy they claimed that they had faxed the Drs. office the week before, but had never received the authorization. When I spoke with the Drs. office they said they had not received anything. Since I have never had a problem with the Drs. office, but have had other issues with this pharmacy I know that the problem lies with them. There is a lack of follow through regarding medications and an obvious lack of caring from the Pharmacists in this particular CVS. When I watch the ad for CVS showing Pharmacists going the extra mile for their customers I find it ironic and see it as false advertising. I might add as well that when my brother was in the store he saw two elderly customers being turned away without their meds d/t insurance problems. According to their false ad the Pharmacist would have done everything in their power to get whatever they needed. After I spoke with the Drs. office the situation was resolved within three hours. CVS should be paying me for doing their job! It was not my job to check with the Drs. office to see if they had received the fax, CVS should have done that and it should have been done days ago. I am a Nurse and if I did my job the way they do theirs everyone would die!! There is a need to follow through and check did they get the fax etc.

overcharge
My debit card was charged twice for a photo service. The first time the employee said it did not go throught, and I was charge for $ 32.97 because I request a cash back of $5.00. The second time I was charge for $27.97 .
I spoke to the store manager and she asked me to call the phone number on the back of my CVS card to solve the problem because she can not do anything about it. I called the number 1-800-shop CVS and the recording message did not give me any options to speak with a customer service representative.
Now I ended paying almost $60.00 for a service that really was $28.00 what is completely unfair and expensive.

Not responsiveness
I have been a customer of CVS stores for many years now, have never had a complaint. In fact I was probably considered a “fan” of CVS.
Unfortunately, I am not so sure now. Yesterday (A Sunday) I went to a local CVS in my neighborhood. Gathered my selections and paid using a personal check (which I have always done). The cashier wrote my license number down and started the transaction. My check was declined, at first I was very confused, I do not bounce checks…but that was not why my check was declined….this is why:
“We are sorry that we are unable to accept your check at this time. Your recent check –writing activity in our stores has exceeded our current limit. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask that you complete your purchase by an alternative means. Should you have any questions about our policy in this store, please call our Check Services Department at 1-800-445-5304.”
Now this is certainly a new one on me. I have 1 check that was just cleared in my account within the prior week. What if I needed a prescription? It was Sunday, obviously I could not withdraw money. My luck, I have not received my debit card yet…but since that is similar to check writing would that also be declined? Since when do retail establishments decline taking money from their customers?
But folks…that is not all. First thing this morning I called the number given above…it is 11:30 EST, yet the recording insists that “we are currently closed”. I have tried several numbers and have not received one human being as of yet to find out what exactly this is all about, no luck just recordings.
I am slightly exasperated at this point….so I am now trying email….

Terrible experience
Mike Yousef is a 'pharmacist' at the CVS I fill my prescriptions at. He has (a number of times) refused to refill a prescription because he 'thinks' it's too early. However, my doctor doesn't think it's too early, and neither does my insurance company. In fact, he refused to fill a prescription I had, so I called my insurance company to find out why. They said it was unethical of him to deny my prescription, and that I had every right to pick it up on the day in question. He still refused to give me my prescription. In fact, he actually yelled at me on the phone. He spoke to me as if I were a 'junkie', or a little girl that didn't know what she was talking about. I am very angry that this man actually has a job at CVS. My insurance company was shocked that he wouldn't fill my prescription. It has nothing to do with it being too early, it's because he personally thinks its too early. He has no regard for human decency. I've discussed this with some others, and another person I know has had the same problem with this man. I'm a waitress so I know what it's like to handle customer relations and I cannot believe this man actually has a job.

Terrible experience
I had a prescription of hydroxyzine at this pharmacy and I had submitted the prescription and was given the medication. I had ONE refill for this medication. I had called the pharmacy and asked them to fill the REFILL for the hydroxyzine... as well as some other medications. I went in to pick up my medications (four total) on May 31, 2008. The pharmacy tech presented me with all FOUR medications including the hydroxyzine... then I changed my mind and asked him to return two of the medications as I did not feel I wanted to continue taking them. These two were hydroxyzine and Bactroban.
Then, on June 2, I called the pharmacy again and spoke with Steve Borowy, the manager of the pharmacy. I asked him to again, refill the two medications I had them return as I decided I did, in fact, need them. Steve looked for the hydroxyzine prescription and said it was not THERE!!! I said please keep looking as I was just there on Saturday and the pharmacy tech had the medication in his hand... Mr. Borowy was very, very nonchalant about this... as a matter of fact, he was downright rude to me!!! He actually tried to insinuate that I was lying!!!
When I had just picked up the medication on the Saturday before! It should have been listed on my medication list in their computer! He again said he did not see it in the computer under my list of medications!!! I am shocked. Having a medication, when in fact, the medication was filled for me only two days before!
I suggest you people look into this. I am going to file a police report, because obviously, someone there had stolen the refill, and deleted it from my list of medications!!! and Mr. Borowy has completely ignored me and brushed this off!!! I am also going to file a police report for theft against this CVS Pharmcy.

My bad experience
Got rain checks for sale item and out of 8 stores locally none sell on a regular basis only as sale item was out on 2nd day of sale what kind of scam is this all 8 stores out by 2nd day, the product was charming bath tissue 12 pack the basic design. All the eight stores had al the other kinds and packages of all charming but not the basic brand. Why would your stores only sell this product in that brand on a sale flyer, and then issue a rain check to purchase the sale item at another time?
