cyberlink, maker of powerdvd, is not among the worst in customer support. they are the WORST. after installing the software it would not run on my pc. it gave a blank error message. I had to create an account to send in a support ticket via the web as they charge $30 for telephone suport for 60 days. Aftre several days they could not figure out my issue and had no clue. I opened google and piut in the search "powerdvd blank error" and immediately saw that it was a problem with the resolution. They have fixed this in version 9. I cannot believe that such a coomon support issue could not be resolved.
They do not bother to read your whole email whole message and it takes several back and forth messages to get things reseolved.
I now have a problem that my pc crashed and i reinstalled poweredvd but the activation key will not take. I sent in a ticket and they replied 2 days later with the key for the older version. I told them that i was upgraded to version 9 and they asked for my order number. I immediately provided it and 8 days later i am still waiting for my key. I put in several other tickets and they respond to me with the same key for the older version.
They do not read your emails entirely and seem to not care about their customers. I think that it must be an automated systekm. Nobody can be so stupid as these support people are.
