Would not ship order
I ordered and paid for (2) nightstand from Cymax Store 8 weeks ago, only received one. Called--emailed--called... Finally got a reorder only to have it set (in) processing for 4 of the last 8 weeks. To protect myself I filed a dispute with PayPal, more to get there attention then to stop the transaction. It didn't work they cancelled the order, now it's a fight to get my money back and I STILL WANT THE NIGHTSTAND?? All they had to do was ship the thing, I can't understand it! All this has cost time and money.

This company is a crook
I received a defective bed from this company mere than 6 months ago..
They finely picked up the bed six weeks ago/. I still have not received my refund and now they tell me they don't have the info to do a refund?.
I was given a phone number to call to discuss my refund.. I have called the number and held as long as 45 minutes and no one ever answered?.
I heve contacted Cymax by email more then 40 times/. I've made more then 31 phone calls and 5 faxes to Cymax;. I have contacted the Attorney General of there state to report this unbeivealbe ordeal.

Bad business practices
I ordered a fire place one month ago. It arrived damaged and immediately notified them by email and phone calls. After many phone calls and emails, they have not been able to solve this issue demonstrating absolute incompetence. They don't have a clue of what to do and the worst thing is that they say will respond by email and never do that. Finally we decided toi return the merchandise and get a refund. Same thing, they say will email instructions, but never email any instruction about how to return the merchandise. They are unable to provide the service they are advertising. We are sending a claim toi the Consumer Division of the state of Florida. Be careful and don't buy anything from them. If you did the mistake of buying something, send your claim to the Consumer Division of your state or look for the assistance of a lawyer. These people must be stopped.

False advertising
I ordered 5 custom bar stools that were never shipped. After weeks and repeated phone calls Cymax stated they might have an accounting issue or there was a production slow down at the manufacturer and wanted to refund my money.
I phoned the manufacture of the stools and they suggested I cancel the Cymax order and go through CSN. I found out that Cymax more than likely underpriced the stools and didn't want to honor their price - not enough profit.
Of course I ended up having to pay a higher price because the Cymax sale was over. Crappy company that can't tell the truth.

Oversized Recliner-Sent wrong recliner
Sent me a tiny recliner & I refused shipment then they held it up so I could not get credit from Bill Me Later & now they are telling me they are charging me for shipping which was free then a restocking fee & shipping back to them so my credit goes from $489 down to $143. They are the poorest excuse for a company that I have ever dealt with & on top of that they tell me they shipped the right recliner but today I get an email that states they have not recd recliner back yet so how do they know.

Paid but no delivery
Save yourself some sanity and do not order from this store. We made a large order on Jan. 1/11 for baby furniture. We made the order because the website (Lusso Baby - one of Cymax Stores websites they hide behind) stated that the items were "in stock". It is now almost three months later and we still are waiting for them. I am due to have a baby in a few weeks. Sent numerous emails, no response from them. If you call their customer service, you will get someone from India. The person I spoke to, couldn't understand english and ended up hanging up on me while I was in a middle of a sentence. This was after waiting on hold for him for almost an hour. He was asking me questions that I needed the answers to...not sure why Cymax stores emphasizes on customer service when it is cleary not there. I wish I had looked up the reviews before ordering. My problem is surely not a unique one. This store is not BBB accredited. They have over 300 complaints just in the last few months with the BBB. Should've done my research. This is adding stress to me that I do not need, especially during this time. Please save your time and money, and order from a reputable store.

The bed came ina banged up open box they want to charge me to return and pay shipping
I purchased a bed through Sears and what I received was not what was in the picture. The package came opened and banged up. It was supposed to be agift. Now cymax is saying that I have to pay to to ship it and a 25% restocking fee. Cymax is a rip off. i will never do business with them or Sears again. They say the bed has to be damaged in order to not be charged the 25 % but the package also must not be opened according to the store. Who is playing whom? This is a joke.

Poor customer service, poor product
I ordered two Amisco bar stools from cymax's morebarstools.com. The product that arrived was significantly different than the picture and website description. The product was missing key pieces that render the product unsafe and unusable. The product was poorly built with broken weld.
Cymax's customer service department made great promises to send return shipping labels and to credit my account. That was the last I have heard anything from that company. I have repeatedly contacted them only to be ignored. I have been polite, I supplied pictures and documentation, and I have not used the chairs. I finally had to block payment with my credit card company.
Summary:
1. False product description on the website
2. Missing significant pieces.
3. Poorly constructed product rendering it unsafe
4. A customer service department that appears to mislead and misinform
A BBB search will show you that as of February 2011, this company has over 350 consumer complaints.
I suggest that you avoid this company if you value your money.

Return nightmare, poor quality product
Repeated requests for return authorization ignored. Return phone calls promised, but never made by customer service. I had to block payment. Do NOT believe the customer service rep.
Summary of the reasons for the return product request:
These are low quality and unsafe bar stools, with critical missing parts, and the delivered product does not match the product description or the product picture on the web order page.
1. Product does not match description - delivered product has a metal back. The description reads wooden back. I enclosed a screen shot of the order page.
2. Product does not match order page picture. The order page shows a product with 5 horizontal slats. Delivered product has 10 vertical slats. I enclosed a picture of the product as delivered. The invoice does have the same product name as on the order page so there appears to be a critical error on the web site product description and product image.
3. Product is missing a significant part on both bar stools. There is a finish piece that should be at the top of the backrest. Both stools are missing this piece leaving an unfinished, unsafe, and unusable product. I enclosed a picture of the stool backrest where the missing part should be placed.
4. Product has very low quality welds that do not penetrate. One slat was never completely welded leaving an unattached backrest slat. I enclosed a picture where I slid a piece of paper behind one of the unprofessional welds to show that it is totally unattached and a safety hazard.
This is a very low quality product by a company that apparently has little concern regarding customer satisfaction or customer safety as illustrated by the missing pieces and poor quality construction. The web site and order page are also inaccurate. The two stools delivered are a vastly different style than what I was led to believe I was ordering.

Failure to promptly refund cancelled order
This company charges your credit card immediately upon ordering EVEN IF THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PRODUCT AVAILABLE. Over the first week after charging my account, they replied to my inquirys (1) temporary shipping delay due to weather, (2) backordered until end of next month, (3) manufacturer discontinued so order cancelled. NO REFUND ISSSUED AS OF ONE WEEK LATER.
