Steer clear
I tried to order a table from Cymax. Great price, free shipping right? Wrong. First, they claimed to have the table in stock. Then I get an email saying the table won't be delivered for 30 days. Then I get an email saying the table was discontinued by the manufacturer & my order was probably cancelled but not for sure til I get confirmation within 48 hrs. Four days later(I have not received confirmation) I call and they tell me it will be another 48 hours to receive confirmation and that if I don't wait to get confirmation that I will be responsible for the table in the event that it ships. All this and I am stuck without a table & trying to get my money back. To make matters worse they're still still showing the darn table in stock not only on their website but their sales staff will tell you its in stock if you call. What a nightmare!

Did not ship my order and will not refund
I ordered a headboard for Christmas and they only shipped one box of the two box shipment. I have called several times and get the run around. The tracking on the shipment clearly says it was undelivered by fed ex. They refuse to refund or send me the missing piece because they say fed ex did ship it. I have never dealt with a company with such poor customer service as this one. All get is they are looking into it and then today they say it must have been delivered and stolen from my house before I got it. What a joke they are.

Website scam
Never ever buy anything from the website cymax.com... they are a bunch of scammers.
Here's the deal-- I was trying to buy a double stroller from them on Friday evening. I had entered all my shipping and billing info, but when I clicked the "submit order" button, a notice appeared, saying "an error has occurred, please try again". I re-entered my info and this time the order went through. I received a confirmation email shortly after saying my order for the stroller is being processed. Well, today, Fed Ex delivered TWO strollers. I told the delivery guy that I had only ordered one and could I refuse the other. He said that I'd have to contact the company and request a return shipping label. So I called Cymax and told them about the glitch in their ordering process and they basically told me that it was my fault. She said that their records show that I ordered two strollers... one at 6:14 and one at 6:20. I told her that the first order didn't go through and that I never received a second confirmation email. She just said that I should have canceled the order if I didn't want two. I kept explaining that I didn't know that both orders went through until I received both strollers today. Well, she said I can return the second one, but not only do I have to pay for shipping, but they'll also charge me for the shipping to my house (even though it was free shipping) AND charge me a 30% restocking fee! Give me a break.

Awful customer service
I've placed 2 orders with Cymax and both have been riddled with complications. The first, placed 11/21, was an item their site indicated was "in stock". After being charged for my order, I heard nothing for over a week, so I requested an update. I then received an automated email indicating my product was backordered until 12/31. Ok, I could live with that, so I waited. Then, in mid-December, I receive another automated email that says the product is further delayed until 1/15. I replied to that email requesting a cancelation and, to my surprise, received a response saying unfortunately Cymax couldn't cancel because it had already shipped (it, in fact, shipped the next day according to the carrier). Order #2, placed 11/29 (before the conclusion of my first round of consumer trauma), is following a similar path. Estimated delivery was 12/20-12/29. We are now within that window and I have yet to even receive a tracking #. The order still says "in progress", not "shipped" (it should have shipped more than a week ago by their estimates) and NO courtesy updates from their customer service informing me of the status, etc. So it is seemingly not back-ordered, they just don't communicate. I've requested updates several times (since they don't provide them of their own accord) and have been told "the manufacturer has been informed of your order". Glad the manufacturer knows about my order almost a month after I placed it, but what does that translate to in terms of delivery date?
I have found their customer service to be awful and their communication even worse. Despite good prices for the same products as their competitors carry, I will not shop with them again unless I don't mind waiting a month or more for my items (which is unlikely since they charge immediately, not when products ship. This may be isolated to furniture, but I'm not daring enough to try other categories at this point.

My package found on the highway
I ordered two black bean bags for my kids for Christmas. I did not receive any order confirmation or shipping information even though the my card was charged. My neighbor comes to tell me a random lady found our package in the middle of the highway. She picked up the boxes and brought them to our house. After circling several times our neighbor stopped her to see why she kept driving by. We still haven't been able to get in contact with Cymax customer service. We were blessed by a Good Samaritan but have damaged goods and are not happy.

Do NOT deal with this company. (1) ordered twin beds, twin mattresses & box springs & night stand (2) received mattresses & box springs within 2 weeks (3) received twin beds & night stand - took 7 weeks for delivery (4) nightstand was damaged and had to go back (5) no contact from Cymax re a replacement or refund (6) contacted customer service re replacement - it's been 7 days and have not heard anything (7) beds were assembled - went to make one of the beds and the mattress & box spring fell through (8) called customer service (9) told it would take 5 days for the Replacement Team to process (10) I mentioned that the beds did not come with slats to lay the box spring on (11) rep insisted that replacement department would have to handle (12) after much insistence, asking to speak to customer service manager, rep conferred with someone and yes, indeed the beds should have come with slats and they would 'try' to send them out in a few days (13) Customer service would not give me the # for the replacement team - this should tell you something. They are so busy that they cannot take calls. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Charges CC Right Away - No Delivery after 3 Weeks
Cymax charged my cc right away and after 3 weeks I have not seen delivery of the item. They claim it will be shipped, but the manufaturers own website says there is no inventory. Also, they promised a $10 credit to match the manufacturers own website, but after a week I have not seen it posted. They definitely lie about availability, and they use a India based call center whose people you can't understand.

Misleading Product Descriptions
I received 2 bookcases described as SOLID WOOD only to find there were actually PARTICLE BOARD with solid wood veneer. I wrote a customer review indicating the misleading product description and it was not posted. Only favorable reviews are posted there leading me to believe they do not intend an honest feedback system but rather a further deception to the deceptive product description.

Sent me wrong item and charged me for return
I ordered a baby crib from Cymex. Two agents gave me the wrong information about the crib's mattress support. They charged me 1/3 the price to return the item. Will never buy from them again.

Stay away
I bought Tuscana Design Base with Wheels for my outdoor patio umbrella on Sept-19-2010. Price was reasonable compare to other site. They sent me an email that merchandise will be shipped by October 13th. So, I called them today to find out the status. Customer service tells me that merchandise will not be shipped until November 19th. I requested customer service to cancel my order. She tells me that it will take a week before they can confirm my cancellation. Here is the interesting part. Cymax already charged my credit card on 9/19 and they can't cancel and refund my money until 10/20!! Now, my concern is Cymax used my money INTEREST FREE for 30 days. So, if Cymax could do this type of transaction with several customers they don't need to borrow money from bank, all they need 50% happy and 50% unhappy customer. I hated this experience with CYMAX. I would never recommend anybody to shop at Cymax just because they are quoting few dollars less from others.
