Awful follow up
Original order was filled with wrong part. Email to Cymax went unanswered for over a week, then they passed the buck to the vender. Vender never replied. Cymax even requested PHOTOS of the wrong parts. They don't believe they screwed up! Several emails later Cymax sent the order again. Again wrong part. Same lame result to email complaints. Waiting now for third try. Over two months now.

Cymax is only a third party "middle man" who isn't responsible for anything at all and is in complete disarray.

I will never shop there and I recommend you don't either.

Horrible experience
First let me start off by saying that Cymax sells products that are cheaply made but look great in pictures online. They use words like real marble which apparently means marble colored laminate. After ordering a coffee table the 1st shipment was broken, and then after 3 weeks of repeated calls and emails another shipment was supposedly sent but then 'lost' by the shipping company and now I am looking at 4-6 more weeks if I ever get anything at all. It's no surprise that use an obscure shipping company by the name of DBShenker instead of Fed Ex or UPS or any company you've heard of. The website may say all the right things but I urge anyone to reconsider ordering anything from this Company and you can search the internet for similar complaints, which looking back now, I obviously should have done.

Manager liar
I purchased a platform bed frame from Cymax and was told by the representative the bed I was ordering was in stock. Only to wait a month later to receive my bed with damaged parts. I spoke to the sales manager Lar, the guy with the accent, and he apologized for me not being notified the bed actually was not in stock when I ordered it. I threatened to send the bed back and he promised me a percentage refund for the bed being late and had new parts sent out. When I receive the new parts, they are damaged again! This time I call Lar and I tell him he better take care of me and that I want even more of a credit now because I hadn't had a bed to sleep on for a month because of *** Cymax. He changed his story when I pushed about the refund into my bank account for the damages and said now he would only give me a ten percent store credit. I laughed at him, said I would return the whole bed without a restocking fee. He made it look as if this would be fine until I cornered him with his ambiguity and he admitted I won't get my full refund for dealing with Cymax's shoddy business ethics. I said that's fine, I'll take it up with Wachovia. I'm still in the process of disputing the bed, I refuse to pay a 100 restocking fee for someone els's numerous mistakes. A representative has been e-mailing me to save face with Wachovia as well. She is saying "send us pics and we'll get you your full refund" and she is blatantly lying so Cymax can go tell Wachovia, "we tried to have her send the bed back and give her a full refund". I know what they are doing. Don't ever buy from this company, they shouldn't exist.

Bait and Switch
A word to the wise; don't buy from Cymax! Their website uses deceptive information. They picture sets of furniture and when you buy, you discover that you only purchased one piece of the depicted multi-piece set.

Damaged Goods
I just received my safe today, I ordered through Cymax Stores, on Oct. 6th, 2010. The safe arrived Oct. 14th, 2010, I signed for it, I placed it where I wanted it very gently and unpackaged it. I read the directions carefully and used the "over-ride" key given to open the safe and press the electronic reset button, AND THE DOOR FELL COMPLETELY OFF! This product is very cheaply made, and I would not recommend it for anyone looking for a quality safe. I researched for 24 hours on what type of safe to get and this safe had Absolutely no REVIEWS! DO NOT BUY!! get a sentry safe or another top quality brand!

poor service
horrible company.
ordered $550 recliner that is falling apart less than a year later.
company says they have a 30-day warranty only and any repairs are 100% my problem.
stay away from this company!!!

Hasn't deliver complete order
So after searching for the perfect platform bed I find Cymax and I order my bed through them. Quick to collect payment but SLOW on delivery. First I get the bed with the wrong parts, then it takes them another 3 weeks to send out replacement parts, now i'm missing hardware. You make a call to them and according to them "its out of our hands." Not once have they given an apology nor tried to compensate me in any way. This company has their head in their *** along with their employees. I would NOT recommend this company at all, its gonna be problem after problem after problem. Good luck.

No delivery
I ordered chair that was to be delivered before July 16.By July 30 I emailed them and they kept saying that delivery attempts had been made and I'd refused the chair. TOTALLY untrue. I'd never heard from them.I canceled the order at that time. Then, 45 days after order, they showed up on my doorstep to deliver. I did refuse the chair since I'd canceled the order. They said that made it a delivery and so they would bill as a return and charged freight both ways and a restocking fee for a chair they never delivered.

Don't count on timely delivery
Decent prices; polite employees. Even though we asked them to hold shipment and release it on a certain date, they dropped the ball and only released the shipment when I called. I guess it still would not be released if I hadn't called. Also, and more important, they don't tell you that shipments that originate in Canada might take 2-3 weeks. I've been waiting about 10 days for shipment to Chicago and it will be about another week according to UPS. When you call CYMAX they are all so nice - great training - but all you get is an "I'm sorry" Nothing more. So, be warned.

Shipping nightmare
Ordered night stand in late May 2010. Order was cancelled by Cymax after credit card was charged. Eventually shipped product. Product arrived and appeared as though it had been rolled to MN from where ever it came from. Product damage. Cymax ordered replacement, we think, claimed it was delivered in early July, but no delivery notice and was supposedly delivered wile were on vacation. Got credit card company involved. Cymax investigated. Cymax called and agreed to refund our money, cancel relationship. Refunded money promptly. Cymax sent email confirming refund and cancellation. Two weeks later we received an email indicating that a replacement item had been ordered and shipping information would be sent shortly. Responded to email and copied person who had sent cancellation confirmation. Received three emails confirming that order was cancelled and apologizing for mistake. Received email two hours later indicating that another replacement had been ordered. We're done with them. We're not sure if we'll get 0, 1, or 2 night stands in the next few weeks. And we will fight any charges to our credit card from this company.
