horrible service
horrible company.
sold me substandard product that broke down less than a year after purchase.
told me to call the manufacturer, who referred me back to Cymax, who refused to stand behind product or replace it, and said any repairs would be 100% my responsibility.

don't ever buy from this company, they will screw you.

Cost us $300 to return chairs!
We ordered kitchen chairs thru Cymax Stores. When delivered they were not at all like what we ordered, instead of white, they were dark grey. We resealed the boxes and returned them via Fed Ex since they were delivered that way. Cymax charged us Shipping costs to send them to us - initially it was free shipping - well when you return an item, they charge you for the intial shipping cost along with a $75 restock fee! We paid $150 to ship chairs back because Fed Ex does not ship ground from residences only businesses. What a nightmare. It has cost us $300 for Nothing!! Cymax does not display the merchandice correctly and makes a profit when you need to return the item. Don't be a fool - don't order from Cymax!

Order arrived damaged
I ordered a grill from these scammers in July. It arrived damaged and I immediately (within minutes of receiving it) notified them by email. Over one month later and dozens of phone calls and emails later, and I still haven't resolved this. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company, but want to warn others that this company is NOT reputable. Don't but ANYTHING from Cymax, regardless of price!!!

Beware
CUSTOMERS BEWARE OF BEING RIPPED OFF BY THIS INTERNET ORDERING COMPANY!!!

I have found Cymax to be dishonest, unreliable and not wanting to communicate with customers to correct their deficiency. The wrong furniture was delivered to me. I called Cymax while the trucking company was still at my home about refusing shipment. Cymax told me to accept the shipment and a return authorization would be sent in the next 1-2 days. The authorization never came. I called multiple times and was transferred to the sales managers voice mail. He never returned a call. Correspondence was received via email stating their "resolution department" would take the furniture back if I would pay over a 40% restocking and shipping charge. This company is dishonest, unreliable and is ripping off its US customers (this is a Canadian Internet Company).

Unfair business practice
I will never again shop with Cymax.
1. this is Canadian company, owned by UAE citizens and which targets primary US consumers, but fails to warn you about "foreign trasaction fee"
2. the payment method page will offer "No Payments for 6 month" option. The e-mailed receipt will say "No Interest for 6 month"
3. It seems that every other orer placed with Cymax is backordered or delayed. The product page will say "In Stock" and "Estiamted delievery 2 weeks' but 2-3 days after the order is placed the shopper gets "backordered" e-mals.
My furniture is scheduled for shipment ... in two month (!!!)
Amazingly nasty scammers.

Sent item I had cancelled. No response for refund or pick-up
I had cancelled my order with them on the same day the order was placed as I found it cheaper elsewhere. They sent it anyway thtough UPS and left it on my front door without my acceptance. They agreed to deduct the difference and said that confirmation would be emailed. I never received the confirmation, no reply on phone calls or emailed complaints. I have requested a pick-up and refund with absolutely no responses. My credit card has been charged. I cannot believe the shadiness of this company.

I had taken delivery of the cheaper order. I had no confirmation from Cymax. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Don't buy from them
I bought over $500 from Cymax. I bought dresser with mirror and 5 drawer chest. All came chipped and broken. Touch up pen will not fix and shows up.

I called Cynmax. Said happy to replace threw old one away. I did. Nothing came. Few days later I got email saying your new furniture will come if you return old one. I emailed/left message back saying I was told to threw away old one. No response. Mail man came to pick up old one. I told him threw away.

So now I get email from Cynmax saying you are valued customer and since you are not able to return old one we will give you new one at discount price.

Meantime, I have no furniture. I still do not have any furniture from them. They ripped me off..they told me to threw old one away and did not give new one...

Do Not Buy..first it all comes chipped, cracked and it is not durable, stready and good furniture.

In short a word to the wise: DO NOT BUY FROM CYMAX...

Infuriating joke of a business
I tried to get a baby crib and changing table combo for about two and a half months. The website showed the product as available but the shipment email never came. They don't communicate well by email and most go unanswered. I tried with two different products and the result was the same on both. It was back ordered and I could wait or cancel the order. I suggested they hire some Amazon people to get their website info up to date and accurate. I suspect they are trying to operate with too few employees. I just hope I can get my money back easily, but based on what I've been through, don't really expect that to happen. I would have bought the customer a steak dinner and knocked 20% off his bill if I'd put him through what they did me, but they just said it was the nature of their business and besides, I could cancel if I wanted. They never seemed to grasp that I really wanted the items I thought I had purchased. I had to give up in the end and order from Amazon. It was time to move on and the baby was going to be a teenager the way things were going.

Backorder Nightmare
Backorder nightmare, was not allowed you to cancel. Zero customer service, by far the worst communication...I've experienced better business practices from third world countries!! Ripped me off to the tune of $419 and I have nothing to show for it accept a nightmare of an experience.

Gross miscalculation twice on their part for a shipping date. I even received an e-mail from a supervisor in customer service admitting their mistake and apologizing for the inconvenience, however, my money was not going to be refunded.

I was advised by the customer service supervisor to accept the item anyway and sell it on Craigslist!!!

I fully intend to file a claim in court because they clearly believe that the consumer is at the mercy of their folly. I understand mistakes happen, however, it is their lack of integrity in resolving the issue that I find unacceptable.

4 weeks late delivered damaged won't refund
I ordered an outdoor patio sofa. 4 weeks past the delivery date it finally arrived, with every single leg broken off. I refused to sign for the shipment. Cymax will not refund my money. They cannot deliver a replacement until fall, too late to use it for the summer when I needed it. Even if they do replace it, they are charging me a "restocking fee" for the broken sofa and a return shipping fee. Like an idiot, I paid with Paypal. They will not help with a resolution because I waited until 45 days after the charge date, because of the delayed shipping. Cymax took my money out of Paypal on day one. I should have paid with American Express, they would have removed the charges immediately. I am out a significant sum of money and have nothing to show for it and no recourse available. Paypal is convenient, but won't support you like a credit card company.
