Fraudulent Magazine Sales
Two guys came to the door of college students with their sob story - I fell for it and purchased two subscriptions (one from both of them) - $130. A day later, regretting my decision I called the number to cancel the subscription - however - should have stopped payment on the checks sooner since they cleared my bank quicker than I was told. Life Lesson learned the hard way - No more donating to anyone that comes door to door or phone.

magazine sales fraud
This scam involves local "high school/college students"
selling magazine subscriptions for some fake cause. They are pocketing the money and you will never get magazines. Don't give them money -- especially checks. I got duped for $63 myself

enter in your local area on the website, then there is a tab for filing a complaint. You won't get your money back, but at least we can make sure that their company gets shut down. Thats payback enough I think

No magazines or refund
Door to door sales of magazines. Kid says he was in a contest. Asked for some cash and some check. Came to the door June 2. I cancelled the 2 orders that I wrote checks for within the cancellation period. Still have not received a refund or magazines.
