I have had one of my worst online buying experiences with the DA Stores. I bought an ‘in-stock’, expensive, white leather sectional that was prominently displayed on their website and here is a list of everything that went wrong:
1. There was NO communication from DA Stores on the delivery timeframe after they received my payment. In fact, I had to call to get my online order status changed from ‘pending’ to ‘processing’.
2. After 4 weeks, I called them to check on the delivery and they said they’ve had to add a couple of weeks due to the Chinese new year (yes, that’s where they ship from). Even after those 2 weeks, I had to keep calling to check on the status of my delivery. They finally delivered after 12 weeks.
3. The delivered sectional had missing pillows/ backrests. On contacting DA Stores, I was told that they NOT be able to commit to a timeline to complete my delivery. So yes, I got the delivery but it didn’t look like anything I’d ordered nor was it usable.
4. The delivered goods were damaged and I was asked to send in pictures of the damaged goods by their rep (name withheld). Upon follow-up I was told that rather than filing a claim, they would like me to get the repairs done myself through a local repair shop – and, of course, pay for the repairs myself. Upon insistence, they agreed to pay $75 for a self-repair kit from Walmart or Target. The offer was both insulting and aggravating.
5. If you try calling them, they’ll keep referring you back to the rep you’ve been dealing with -- who I’ve not been able to reach live despite numerous attempts and who has a voice mail box that is full and is unable to accept messages.
Please do NOT try to buy from DA Stores if you would like your purchase to be delivered on time and if you would like to remedy an incomplete and/ or a damaged delivery.
