I ordered a canon rebel xsi camera from daily deal digital online for $469.99 on 8/31/10, within 30-45 minutes I received an E-mail saying that I needed to call to confirm my order. When I called the salesman went into his sales mode and wanted to upgrade to the extended life battery, quick charger($69.99), 4gb error free card($59.99) that this camera worked better with, a camera bag($29.99), a lens filter kit($29.99) and the extended warranty($69.99) for a special total price of $649.99. It sounded reasonable so I upgraded. Within the next 30-45 minutes I decided to cancel the order so I called the salesman back and he canceled the order, the next day 9/1/10 I received an E-mail saying the order was cancelled.(thought everything was clear) 2 weeks later I received another E-mail on 9/16/10 saying the order had been shipped with the tracking number, I called the company to see what was going on and what were they shipping and told them I had cancelled and they E-mailed me the invoice.(the only invoice I ever received with the price being $649.99)
It had listed all the extra priced items.
The next day 9/17/10 the package is delivered at around 5:00p.m Friday afternoon. Monday morning 9/20/10 I call and tell them I wanted to return the package and needed a return number. They gave me the number after me explaining I did not want the package but they were going to charge $50.00 restocking fee. I told them that the package should have never left their shelf and I sent them the copy of their E-mail saying they cancelled, but they still were going to have to charge me. I decided to open the package being that I was not paying them to restock and thought I would just keep it, come to find in the box was the factory battery and charger, a regular 4gb card($12.99), a cheap lens filter(7.99) and an off brand bag(12.99) and nothing mentioning the extended warranty.
