I have purchased a 10 ltr. Water Heater from Dass Electric Trading Co. (p.) Ltd., Chinchwad, Pune on 12/06/2009. They said that they don't have stock with them and they would deliver it the next day. They did deliver the heater promptly the next day. I kept the heater a side as they said I would be receiving a call from Racold engineer for installation of the same. The packing was shabby, so I had a doubt about the product. But then as the company person would be coming, so I thought I would reject the unit if there is any problem with the same.

As I did not receive any call from Racold engineer the next day, I called up Dass Electric Trading Co. (p.) Ltd. Chinchwad, Pune (the shop from where I purchased this product). They said I would be receiving the call very soon. but didn't receive that day as well. The next day I received and found that there are charging an installation cost and that too higher than normal. So I call the engineer from other shop. They came the next day and when they opened box pack.

I WAS SHOCKED TO SEE THE SHABBY OLD UNIT INSIDE.

so, I raised an alarm/complaint they said they have raised a complaint and would soon receive a call from Racold. But nothing came up. So, I had to follow up a lot and finally after a day or 3 I received a call from Racold customer care executive. they committed that within 24 hours you problem would be soughed out.

But this was a false commitment from Racold. I dint receive any call or nothing. Next day I had to call the Recold again, the executive committed that before 11:00 am I would receive a call nothing happened. Then finally I got a call on land line number. I was not home at that time. But my Wife told me that Racold executive had called up to say that, you complaint is in process. This is a case of cracked cabinet/casing/body of the water heater and that would be replaced today.

I was shocked, I paid for a new Water heater and then the company is trying to sell me a very old outdated Water Heater and close the issue. One more thing the date of manufacturing on the box was already scratched away, I realized this when I wanted to check the manufacturing date on the box.
