Scamming unscrupulous bastards! Sold an iPod Touch 2G as a 3G and will not replace. I purchased a Apple 8GB iPod Touch 3rd Generation, From Datavis.com, Order #50919967, purchased through
Buy.com Placed Saturday, December 14, 2009. I have now discovered that they sent me a 2nd generation
iPod Touch instead. IMEI: Serial number: 8M942UC675J. I have contacted them but they will not replace it
without the original box, etc. What can be done to correct this error. My son received this as a gift
for Christmas, dropped it and broke the screen. When I ordered a replacement screen for a 3G, what they
sent does not fit. I then called the company and they informed me that the iPod is a 2G from the model
number A1288 on the back. Mike S. Sales Managerat Datavision Computer Video 888-888-2087x452 claims he cannot verify that the iPod you are questioning at this moment is even the one you purchased from our store being it is 8 months after the purchase date. I assume the serial number is tied to bulk sales from Apple to Datavis. This is an illegal sales practice and must be stopped.

I ordered an Asus Eee PC 901HA through Buy.com, after the item was shown as being in stock and would ship in 1-2 business days.

On 12/2/08, I received an email from Datavis explaining that the item was out of stock, and that it would be another week before they had it in stock again, but that they did have the 904HA model ($50 more expensive!) in stock that they could ship immediately.

I replied stating that I needed the item within a specific timeframe, and that if they could not accomplish that, then to cancel my order.

The following day, I received an email from Buy.com advising that my order had been cancelled. No further responses have been forthcoming from Datavis.

I decided to see what was said about Datavis online, and found many complaints from others who had received similar treatment.

I would advise anyone to be extremely cautious when considering Datavis for any potential purchase.
