O.k here goes and sorry if I mess up posting this complaint but I'm really ticked off to find that when I google my online ID I use for just about everything I find that a dating site I cancelled my account with ages ago is listing my ID and full description for just anyone to see. Not only does it list my information for an account I had opened locally and closed probably more than a year ago but it lists my info under every other sub site of theirs, so it appears. I don't even have an account with these guys anymore and I happen to be talking to a very nice man right now and I don't need him one day coming across the info thinking I'm still surfing some dating site on the side!! Not to mention that I never new my info would be right there for the whole world to see just by googling my ID.

I want to know, is this a violation of my privacy or can they get away with this because they use my ID and not my real name? Also can they get away with this even though my account has been closed for such a long time? I even went to the log in screen and put in my usual ID and the password I would have used and it gives me a notice that the account is closed so I know it's definitely closed...What can I do?
